(SB) Ongoing UF Softball Commentary

Texas Tech walks off against Jordy Bahl and Nebraska in the 7th, 6-5. Canady did not pitch but she put Tech back in the game in the sixth with a 3 run bomb.

 

Lol, all that whining and you run and hide when you get a real response from someone willing to talk about it.

 

It's only a very very small sampling, like 5 at bats, but based on last year and these early games, should Comia or Hovermale get some nods at DP before conference season starts so we can see if one of them can give consistent at bats in that spot?

 

How about Letting TW make the call and you sit back and enjoy it? He seems to have the pulse of the team a bit.

 

Texas Tech paid all that money for Canady and have an opening weekend matchup against Bahl showing on the MLB network and they don’t give us the matchup that everyone wanted to see in the circle? That’s a damn shame.

You have criticized my not talking to Steve as a big mistake. I don’t agree. While he is in a position of responsibility, this is a matter that will require top management review and approval. He would have listened to my appeal, told me what technical and financial obstacles they faced and probably said they had the matter under review. If you think something else could have been accomplished, please share it with me and other forum members. Even better, contact him with the contact information I
provided and post the results.

The other thing l is criticism of my communications, particularly with CTW. I sent the email before the season started. He had several choices: ignore, tell me the schedule was incomplete. He chose to respond and escalate my request up to Steve.

With “TIM” as you often convey, please give him a call and check to see if my contact has been anything but cordial and respectful. If he says was “bugged”, I will humbly apologize.

 

I didn’t vilify you, I just laughed at you, like I have been since you started your crusade. You knew the reason we didn’t broadcast every game was they didn’t want to spend the money. You knew you weren’t going to do anything about getting them the money. You knew this before you started your mission (or VERY early on) and you still chose to try to irritate anyone with a public email address. Then, when you get a real response, you run and hide. Did you think that just being obnoxious was going to make them spend the money? I wouldn’t give any of you guys that constantly complain and constantly send emails the time of day.

I remember not long ago when we wouldn’t have had access to 10% (probably less) of what we have now. I’m appreciative of the access we have now. You want more, spend the money, or wait for it to happen naturally.

Taylor Shumaker 5 HR, .500 BA as a freshman
Mia Williams .588 BA quite a turnaround
Kenleigh Cahalen .444 BA & stellar 3rd base great replacement for AK
Kara Hammock stellar outing - except ran out of gas 1 inning too early

Living up to high expectations:
Kendra Falby .444 BA
Korbe Otis .429 BA
Keagan Rothrock 0.00 ERA, 1 BB, 14 IP
Ava Brown 1.29 ERA, 14 IP

All in all, a very impressive Gator weekend!

 

Scary in that Jocey had a slow start and we haven't seen Red yet.

 

Jocey started slow last year if I recall.

 

Think she came alive today.

Jocey is on this list. She is ranked #3 best player.

 

If you only count her homeruns, Taylor's BA is 278. If she keeps that up these teams are going to start walking her. Can't remember the last time I saw a freshman given an intentional pass.
