OP please don't lie to us. We all know that the bills to cut defense spending have all come from Democrats. We also know that Bernie has been complaining about it for years only to get pushback from right wingers

That is a very ignorant statement by Bernie Sanders at a time when China, Iran, Russia, and North Korea are forming an axis of evil to overtake us militarily. It is very easy to make a statement like that after 50 years of the US being the predominant military power in the world. It won't be easy if we are overtaken militarily because people like Bernie Sanders did not think the US military was worth investing in. We can stay at the top if we have the will and determination to stay at the top, but if complacent politicians like Bernie Sanders make the important decisions regarding the US military we might very well find ourselves not at the top anymore. I don't think we want to find out what the world would look like if the USA is not the leading military superpower.

 

Only someone guilty of a defalcation would fight these investments. I suspect the financial gravy train is coming to an end for some liberals.

The weakness of politicians like Bernie Sanders emboldens authoritarian regimes to think western democracy is weak and lacks a will to fight foreign wars. It emboldens them in their beliefs that they can overtake us militarily. We would not need to spend as much militarily if authoritarian regimes abroad feared us. Bernie Sanders' attitude invites authoritarian regimes to build up their militaries.

Not a big fan of Bernie but when it comes to being a nutcake he doesn't come remotely close to Trump and within a year possibly within six months there will be massive regret among a significant percentage of the voters responsible for his election.

 

FYI, Biden telegraphing that he was stepping on the brakes on military spending in 2021 was terrible for the industry. Many lower tier suppliers got out of or cut back on bidding defense work because they could make more money build g commercial products. Several were not interested in getting back in when they realized their “OH SHiT”and started a war in Ukraine.

The 20% or so inflation of Bidenomics hasn’t helped either. I know you libs don’t want to talk about stuff, but that doesn’t mean that you guys didn’t screw up royally.

 

The rate of inflation rate under Biden never came close to 20% under Biden and it will probably exceed the worst year under Biden (around 8%) within a year under Trump thanks to his tariffs and massive deportation.
