The dems have done well in most elections since 2016. They won a seat in the house in 2024. They had a historically bad senate map so that was an uphill climb, and they lost a close election saddled with inflation. Not sure anyone’s playbook is killing it.
True. Many Americans dismissed the criminality and ate those lies and racist lies right up. Embarrassing, isn't it. That's not really what happened though, obviously. I mean, those things are true, so people on a message board certainly said them. Rightly. But people like KH didn't. You just like to feel like victims.
While some Dems may not be calling MAGA stupid right out you in your own post express the very thing I was talking about. Thanks for backing me up.
That's some fine detective work, Sherlock, considering that I stated right in my post that it was happening in places like this board. Thats obviously quite different from anyone on a national stage doing so, though, isn't it? Anyone relevant to a national election, that is.
Not stupid, willfully ignorant. They are making an emotional choice to override their intelligence. Spock was right, emotions will be the downfall of the human race.
Not in the last election, but now you have to carry the football and score TD's and do so on your own merits. Well, in theory at least. Trump and MAGA will always point the finger at someone else. And I seriously doubt the ability of most of you to be critical at all, under any circumstances. So, we'll see, I guess.
Ya must be living in a cave man. The Dems have been suggesting Pub and MAGA voters are stupid for years.
When allowing people into this country it’s pretty obvious the Trump administration uses a color chart. Cubans look white enough to be let in, Latino groups have to sneak in, and Haitians are forced to die at sea. MAGA!
We don’t believe that they’re necessarily stupid. Intellectually lazy would be the proper term, and those who aren’t actually believe democracy is a bad thing and we need a dictatorship.
The republicans ran a twice impeached convicted felon with a personality disorder who’s showing signs of dementia, and you’re saying the democrats ran a bad candidate?
Me too. All the time. But quoted poster is trying to establish the false narrative that that was consistently expressed by Democratic candidates or leadership. It's part of their "look what you made us do!" shtick. You see, the bad people used unkind words. So they had to vote for a felon traitor. Quoted poster will be gone soon though. He knows the false narrative he's peddling is, well.....false.
You make my point, Trump is terrible and he still beat Biden/Harris. Even most left leaning posters here agree.
And you missed mine that Biden/Harris may not have been the best choices, but they were still better than Trump physically, mentally, and emotionally. The fact that Trump won says more about the immature thinking of the people who voted for him than anything else.
We could agree the felon beat Harris, however Biden demolished him in 2020, so can't agree. Is poster an election denier?
Doesn't really say much of anything about her. It says quite a lot about what appealed to a very large amount of US voters though. And the un-American, disgraceful, criminal things they are willing to tolerate. Edit: in fairness it does say something about her. She was quite unappealing to voters who are comfortable casting a vote for a convicted felon, adjudicated and admitted sexual assaulter who ran a campaign largely based on telling racist lies. I like to think I'm not appealing to such people either. It's the opposite of something to be ashamed of.
