(SB) OGT:USF-Rawling Tournament February 6-9 @USF Tampa

Apparently, UF has outstanding softball and men's basketball teams.

 

Gotta put in a plug, gymnastics is outstanding too even though they didn't show it Friday night out in piggieland.

 

I find myself watching more softball than baseball as its easier to watch good games played in 2 hours with softball. I do watch a lot of baseball, just hard to commit to 3 to 3 1/2 hours so often. Football comes once a week with that time requirement. Baseball requires it most every game and that is with the pitch clock going.

 

I really like watching our lacrosse team, too. I'm more a flavor of the week fan though. Whatever sport is being played is my favorite at the time. I have to say, though, that over the last few years I find myself spending more time watching, commenting on and researching softball than any other Gator sport. I would have all of the above, plus lacrosse, as 1a, 1b, 1c, etc, etc. in any particular order. Love 'em all!!

 

Using the moniker LAX is a start.

Ga. Southern just beat Mich 2 - 0. Mich had 9 hits, left 10 on base and couldn't score. That doesn't happen very often.

The Hamilton girl, the #4 A from Atlanta and a lefty, has four goals and two others disallowed, is fun to watch vs Kennesaw State. Take a look at our top 10 career goal scorers and in four years she’ll replace one of them-imho. Our defense is solid. Go Gators

Watching Comia taking infield practice she looks like a natural SS, quick, smooth, excellent fielder with strong arm. And if she can hit homeruns like yesterday that’s gravy. She looks like the SS next year when Holtorf graduates.

Lastly on LAX, Coach Regy Thorpe is the real deal defensively for Amanda imo

 

Unfortunately it looks like she won't get any swings. Too bad.

 

Radio announcers said Bellaire is the starting catcher.
