THIS! WTF were they thinking going to bat for Lia Thomas? That was such an obvious case of poaching. It's almost as if MAGA baited them into taking that position and they just swallowed the hook. Sorry, but you have no credibility when you're doing things like that. It's just dogma.

That's not to let MAGA off the hook here. These incidents are so rare as to be statistically non-existent, so not sure if it required legislation or EO. If anything, it's just a sign of how broken our political system is. Biggest benefactor of the "Trans debate" has been the social media outlets where people argue about it. Otherwise, the chance of it affecting any of our lives is almost if not nonexistent.

I agree but the decision should have been that of the NCAA in the first place although the organization has apparently caved into pressure from an overreaching POTUS skilled at political theater.

 

I don’t disagree with any of that (except perhaps I don’t know how skilled the political theater is). I think this was the correct decision of the NCAA, and they were all too happy to have the President help them make it.
