I always wait for the downward revision. It’ll probably wind up 6,000 jibs added.

And look at that: adjustments up again for October, November, and December. An extra 101k jobs added than previously reported. October now up to 44k, November up to 261k, and December up to 307k.

Considering the US population increases almost 2 million per year it seems to me 307k new jobs in 3 months would be expected?

    A. The population increase is slightly less than 2 million per year right now.
    B. It was 307k in December alone. Over 3 months, it was 612k.
    C. The participation rate of new people isn't going to be 100%.

Hard to argue with that wage growth though and overall UE at 4.0% is optimal. Companies are paying workers more, because they are excited about President Trump's 2nd term. Companies surely wouldn't be paying their workers so much more if they thought President Trump was going to wreck the economy. Annualized, January's wage growth is a 6% annual growth rate. Wowzers!!
