amateurs. his venmo account was set to public

my venmo is family and facebook marketpalce buys and sells..what a boring life I have...

    defense contractors, far right influencers

do you think this information was in his FBI security clearance along with the amounts of payments made and/or received?

Pete Hegseth hit with latest embarrassment as Venmo list leaks

An investigation into Pete Hegseth's Venmo by The American Prospect revealed the Defense Secretary had left his account on public, providing a detailed friends list of potential payers and payees.

Described by reporters Daniel Boguslaw and Luke Goldstein as a "digital Rolodex," the leaked Venmo friends list includes a revealing selection of executives and Washington insiders.

Some of Hegseth's contacts include tech executives from Silicon Valley like Google's Scott Brown and defense contractors from Palantir and Anduril. Executives at UnitedHealth Group, the insurance giant whose CEO was assassinated in December, are also on the list, as are media figures from far-right outlet The Daily Wire.

Hegseth also appears to have been in touch with extremist conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer, and even former President George W. Bush's national security advisor, Mark Pfeifle.

Guy in charge of our national defense had his venmo set to public? Lol. Not like he's some 78 year old grandman who doesn't understand tech.

To be fair, he might have been drunk when he set it up.

So what is this thread all about? Does keeping it public mean we can steal his account stuff or what?

    and here are more

Venmo accounts found for 50 members of Congress — and 30 Trump admin officials: report

Spending habits of 50 members of Congress and 30 officials in President Donald Trump's administration are on display in publicly accessible Venmo accounts, according to a report Tuesday. NOTUS reporter Mark Alfred sifted through the accounts and the associated lists of contacts, uncovering telling things about U.S. lawmakers.

Rep. Steve Womack (R-AR), for example, "has a penchant for making bets on major golf championships — or, as he sometimes refers to his losing picks, 'donations,'" wrote Alfred. He labeled one as “Masters 21 Donation,” while another was a “US Open Championship contribution,” and a month later, “Donation for poor Open picks."
    ....................................
Among the White House staff, press secretary Karoline Leavitt, deputy chief of staff James Blair, staff secretary Will Scharf and New Jersey U.S. Attorney Alina Habba all have public Venmo accounts that show their friends list.

"The fact that so many senior White House officials continue to showcase what is effectively a snapshot of their contacts list on a public account is all the more notable in the wake of the administration’s Signal-gate fiasco last month," wrote Alfred.
