yeah, he didn’t release the video to help the victim, even though that was the end result. I don’t think he should be rewarded for stupidity, even if it ended up helping justice get served.

I do think the DA should be next, as mentioned above.

Thanks for the responses. I know he didn’t release it for justice, but it led to justice being served. I’m satisfied with the sentences.

I didn't think the third guy was guilty of much, other than being there. If he indeed helped to corral AA, then I stand corrected. Either way, I don't think he deserves the same sentence as the father/son.

I was initially surprised that "Roddie" Bryan got the sentence he did, but I don't think I knew all of the evidence on him. I could be wrong, but I think he hit/bumped Arbery with his vehicle while trying to prevent him from getting away. I think it also came out that Bryan had made racist statements when he found out his daughter was dating a Black guy, and that there was other evidence of his racist mindset. If true, those facts do provide a little more context.

Jackie Johnson’s corrupt ass needs to be in prison too. I’m guessing this wasn’t the first time she attempted to cover up a crime by those scumbags.

Which one of the Derek Chauvin fan club will come here first to make excuses for the killers?

Jackie Johnson should be disbarred and in jail. IIRC (could be wrong) she's the one who told police that it was OK for the shooters to be allowed to go home from the murder scene without bringing them in for questioning.

Sounds like Glynn County investigates cases involving former police staff like FSU investigates qb's charged with rape. Protect the accused at all costs.

Thank you very much for your invitation to the Ahmaud Arbery thread. I regret to inform you that I will not able to attend your event due to your lame attempts to bait those you have disagreed with in the past. However, I would certainly try my best to accept future requests if I deem your views to be worth legitimate debate.
    Sincerely,
    Gator515151

A Georgia judge has thrown out a felony case against former Brunswick Judicial Circuit District Attorney Jackie Johnson who was on trial accused of hindering the police investigation into the murder of Ahmaud Arbery.

Johnson was facing a felony charge of violating her oath of office. But Senior Judge John R. Turner agreed with her defense attorney that the indictment should be dismissed on a technical flaw.

Judge Turner offered sympathetic words to members of Arbery's family as he tossed out the case, saying he will never understand why Arbery's killers were not arrested sooner.

Prosecutors with the Georgia state attorney general's office had already suffered a major setback on Monday when Judge Turner dismissed a second, obstruction charge, saying there was "not one scintilla of evidence" that Johnson interfered with police. That ruling came after an assistant police chief had testified that she had never spoken with Johnson about the case. Prosecutors never called as a witness another officer who was cited in the indictment.

She should never practice law again and should probably do some time too.
