It’s exciting to enter the new season, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the pitchers have developed under the leadership of SVP. Hope we get a sampling of all our available pitchers tomorrow, if possible.
What is going to happen around here when we lose a game, or (God forbid) a series? I hope everyone is up to date on the prescription refills. I love our team and think we can do big things this season, but we had some struggles last year, and I expect us to have some this year. Now let me turn my computer off and run away before the mob grabs their torches and tracks me down.
Well the first thing I’ll do is probably take those 500 Gator Softball 2025 70-0 T-shirts that I had custom printed and send them to Haiti. After that, I’ll probably just take some time to myself. And then of course get cracking on that 69-1 shirt design.
Good news and bad….video for 2/6 UNF game, 2/11 JU and 2/12 Stetson games confirmed and on UF And ESPN schedules. Unfortunately, nothing showing for the tournament 2/13-2/16.
check flosports for tourney.. thye have a lot of early softball thats not on anywhere else.. not free though.. 30 a month i think... also have early baseball tourneys,, so worth it for a month imo.
UNF, JU & Stetson games are on SEC+, free to those who have the ESPN package in their TV provider deal. USF game is on ESPN+, which is an extra charge unless you have Hulu+Live TV. And for now only the Duke game on 2/14 is on SEC+ out of our 6 games in the Bubly Invitational. Maybe more of our pre-SEC games will be added to some TV package, but compared to other SEC schools, UF softball gets much less TV exposure in their pre-conference schedule
pretty much case for anyone pre conference games/ tourneys.. if not at sec/acc/b12 site which would/should be on secn/accn/espn+(up to host school) any big tourney will be on somewhere, but may have to pay. I see the Bubly is at UF.. so totally up to UF how many they show.
espn has first couple weeks listed for all their networks. Watch ESPN Upcoming Schedule - Thursday, February 6, 2025 - ESPN
I'm shocked that the Duke game will be televised. First time any game from that tournament has been on tv. Apparently, the crying and screaming is doing a little good....but not much. I think we usually only have one midweek game but we have three this year. I'm guessing Tim knows that he won't get weekend games on in February and is doing the little he can do to help by scheduling a couple extra midweek games. If so, props to him because there isn't much he can do about this situation.
I'm going to try to compile a list of games for all of the SEC teams and our main rivals, FSU and UCF, not in the SEC for games available in February either on tv or streamed. Paying particular attention to those games on tv that are home games. I'm sure it won't be 100% accurate as I'm bound to miss a game here and there but I believe it will show just how bad it is for us compared to everyone else. Results will be skewed some and will have to realize that there are differences because of the weather. I haven't looked at the schedules for individual teams but I'm guessing someone like Arky plays far less home games than UF because of the weather in February. Possibly same for the Mississippi schools and even Tennessee. We load up with home games in February because of the weather which makes our broadcasting deficiency even more telling.
Ill make it easy for you on the Auburn ones.. If there is a home basketball game (M or W) no other sport gets any video produced. Ive complained about it for 10 years. They blame video room size restrictions for 10 years.. Millions of dollars in facility upgrades last 10 years, so not a valid excuse IMO anymore.. I also caught them 'in a lie' few years ago.. W bball had a home NIT game, same day as SEC baseball game.. they somehow figured how to get the conference baseball game on..b/c they have to, not an option not to per sec.. So its all a matter of want to, at every school IMO. If not a basketball home game,, the can do 5 different sports on same day. if need to. Again all what they choose to do or not do. Unless a conference game, then no choice. I know this is softball related.. but I see UF gets EVERY home baseball game on video(as well they should).. Id stop complaining if that was case for AU..lol
I have heard that Auburn is the only SEC school with broadcasting facilities as subpar as ours. That's likely the culprit. I highly doubt they can do five events in one day just as we can't. Other SEC schools can.
If no basketball game ,, nothing is missed.. Ive seen AU gym softball, baseball all home all on video if no bball.. Only 3 I guess..lol It all an excuse.. they can do them all if chose to,, same w/ UF IMO And the actual production is top notch, or no complaints frm me at least. Not like Vols who i still think have just 1 stationary camera behind homeplate for a lot of their baseball games..(non sec)
Generally, not unless workers are there. Or if you have a secret watch, that will let you know. I can guarantee it will be open at 5 pm tomorrow.
