Gut the FBI, gut the DOJ, gut the CIA, take over the IG, instill loyalist AG's, repopulate the workforce with MAGA loyalty as the primary hiring consideration.

What does it look like? It looks like 9/11 when our CIA and FBI capabilities are gutted and focused on stupid anti-woke pursuits and investigations of citizens opposed to MAGA. It looks like massive corruption on a scale never seen before as jobs and contracts are rewarded to friends at inflated prices.

It looks like a weaponization of all forms of the executive branch in a way it has never been transformed before by a highly partisan leadership.

CIA offers buyouts to entire workforce as it seeks to infuse 'renewed energy': report - Raw Story

The CIA, America's decades-old civilian foreign intelligence service tasked with intelligence gathering around the world, joined other federal agencies Tuesday in offering buyouts — to its entire workforce, according to a report.

The agency appears to be the first intelligence agency to tell workers they can take Elon Musk's signature buyouts, in which employees can take eight months of pay and benefits if they quit, the Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday night.

The report noted that the agency also entered a hiring freeze for people who've been given a conditional offer. Additionally, some will likely have their offers rescinded if they "don't have the right background for the agency's new goals," the report said. Those goals include implementing Trump's tariffs and "undermining China."

As unique an idea as this is, and let's be real, it's pretty creative, I bet that's a hard offer to take for a lot of reasons, even if you don't want to work in this admin. Doesn't exactly look good on a resume, getting jobs later is about networking, and if you're seen as a sellout people might not want to work with you. The intelligence community is not that big, I imagine the stink would follow you. Then obviously there is the fear of raising your hand, fear of being cheated, etc. all mentioned in the article. For people who have a partner with a strong income, maybe this isn't a bad path if you for sure have an idea of where you would land next, but 8 months pay really isn't that much especially if you have to start looking for equivalent work on short notice. I mean, I guess if you had a pending job offer you could hide that from people, take your 8 months pay, and then jump to another job and come out like a bandit. But the short deadline makes that tough. All in all, I bet it doesn't get a lot of people. More of a political stunt than anything.

Wonder what the other four members of Five Eyes (FVEY) will think of massive changes at CIA?

Won’t be hard for them to find jobs. The most valuable thing they have is a security clearance. They will be able to find a government contractor job requiring a security clearance at a slew of other companies in the area.

Probably don’t really care. Their work will continue with different people

A revolving door. Doesn’t sound like lasting change.
