Good point. Sounds like something is wrong, there, huh? Both can't be true.

Based on your track record, to date, I’m going to go ahead and guess it’s another atheist wooden literalist who’s hit the wall.

Another fun challenge for you is Isaiah 19:1.

How could the writer have been so stupid ? Close up a cloud is no more than a mist. How could a cloud have supported a corporeal God ?

Yeah, these are all great examples of questions you should asking yourself before basing your life on something. Good job.

Whereas you are cool and exacting. You’ve got a softball game schedule and a teammate says it looks like it’s going to rain cats and dogs. You retort that that’s impossible and head out to the ballpark and are befuddled that you were the only one that showed.

    *Loser sign*

Meanwhile, You are the guy who would believe it is possible to rain actual cats and dogs if the Bible said so...

Now you’re just projecting. But what do I care ? Live your life based on science. Eat, metabolize, excrete, breathe, move, respond to stimuli, degrade, die, decay and make a noteworthy contribution to the ecosystem. It doesn’t get any better than that!

Thanks for posting this. I was finally able to get around and listen to it. It’s long, but I find it fascinating. The roughly 1st hour is history. The next half hour is discussions of objections to the biblical story. The final half hour is the moderator’s own story.

Like I said, the history discussion was fascinating. Wes’ grasp of the historical data was impressive. I chuckled when he said his Akkadian is not very good, when my Akkadian is non existent.

One interesting aspect is he actually addressed some of the objections raised in this very thread. I think the people who raised those objections probably did not listen to the discussion.
