Yeah, these are all great examples of questions you should asking yourself before basing your life on something. Good job.

Meanwhile, You are the guy who would believe it is possible to rain actual cats and dogs if the Bible said so...

 

Now you’re just projecting. But what do I care ? Live your life based on science. Eat, metabolize, excrete, breathe, move, respond to stimuli, degrade, die, decay and make a noteworthy contribution to the ecosystem. It doesn’t get any better than that!

 

Thanks for posting this. I was finally able to get around and listen to it. It’s long, but I find it fascinating. The roughly 1st hour is history. The next half hour is discussions of objections to the biblical story. The final half hour is the moderator’s own story.

Like I said, the history discussion was fascinating. Wes’ grasp of the historical data was impressive. I chuckled when he said his Akkadian is not very good, when my Akkadian is non existent.

One interesting aspect is he actually addressed some of the objections raised in this very thread. I think the people who raised those objections probably did not listen to the discussion.
