Guess Trudeau gave in and will "escort" Melania on her whirlwind "visit" to all of Canada's provinces! She insisted apparently - guess she will slide down the Pacific Coastal waterway faucet that Trump opened from Seattle to Caulifornia into Gavin Newsome's DMs before a quick visit to Arhnold's when she is done. China better REALLY have something for Trump if they want to beat these "Trump tariffs". A visit from Melania probably won't do it. The threat of tariffs is good leverage and part of the "Art of the Deal." Looks like Mexico will send 10,000 troops to the border to help prevent illegal immigrants and drugs from coming across. Tariffs paused.

10k Mexican troops were so effective in 2021 at stopping drugs and immigrants. That's why 10k this time will be so effective! Again, most drugs are smuggled in as contraband along legal shipments. In the end Trump, Mexico and Canada will agree to another modified version of NAFTA with only minor revisions from the previous modified version negotiated during his first term (the USMCA). At or following the signing ceremony the Dear Leader will proclaim a great victory made possible only by his threat of tariffs.
yeah I doubt the 10000 troops will do much. That’s probably just for show. But the cartels and the government are intertwined, and the cartels don’t want the economy to crash any more than the government does. The government and cartels may decide to put pressure on illegal immigration and possibly squash fentanyl. I can’t imagine there is big cartel money in fentanyl. I think it’s mostly mom and pop rogue small producers here and there.
