Did I say that any level of illicit fentanyl was acceptable? What I did say (or imply) was that a lot of the drug is much worse than a small quantity not that there is any acceptable level. By the way the border security bill that Trump blocked included the funding for machines to detect smuggled fentanyl at legal ports of entry so the candidate that you presumably helped elect had no problem with the entry of fentanyl into the US or at least when Biden was the president.

Although it's a different subject Trump's entire approach to environmental regulations is that small amounts are carcinogens in water, in the air or in pesticides or herbicides are acceptable if reducing their levels would hurt industry.

This is confusing. How would the effect of fentanyl be binary regardless of the amount?

anesthesiologists safely use fentanyl during surgeries. off label use as a very cheap to create recreational drug is very dangerous. I understand most street drugs are laced with fentanyl. Its like russian-roulette buying street drugs today.

280,000 Americans died from fentanyl under Biden's high inflationary Administration so that relationship didn't work.

Just out of curiosity do you think the difference between the amount of fentanyl seized at the Canadian border as opposed to the Mexican border makes a difference?
Federal statistics show US border authorities seized 21,889 pounds of fentanyl in the 2024 fiscal year. Of that amount, 43 pounds were seized at the Canadian border — about 0.2% — compared with 21,148 pounds at the Mexican border, about 96.6%.
