Was just imagining what meets would be like if scoring was like that every time in that you have no clue what the scores really are until entire rotation is done.
Shows how close these top teams are. You can’t afford to have 2 missed routines on multiple events. Thankfully we had done big routines that kept us in it. Great meet for Leanne! Selena has been a huge addition to the team especially with Skye being limited and Kayla being out with the injury.
That would be stressful.. LOL. Kinda like way old school football when you only got the score at the start and end of the commercial breaks.
Couldn't watch and just looked at the scoring. Won the meet and I'm very happy for Leanne Wong having an excellent meet. Selen continues to be the steady star, though. Some of th other ladies struggled, but overall a nice win on the road.
I noticed. Only competed in 2 events, OK is one, not good in the other. We'll need her experienced best down the road.
I think she is sick with the flu. She was not herself. Skylar was sick last week but performed on the vault today. She still was not fully there today. I hope we are healthy for Arkansas. As poor as some performed today, we still beat #4.
Sickness cannot be understated. I've been sick for weeks, so I know how bad the flu and norovirus can be even with strong athletes. Since this is team affected week 2, hopefully, the worst is over. UF has still scored well over the last 2 weeks under probably some of the worst sickness conditions of the winter. Yes, lots to be proud of scoring 197.575 on the road against two Big 12 programs, Utah remaining a strong #4 after week 5 results.

From floridagators.com No. 2 Gators Take Groundhog Day Tri-Meet over No. 4 Utah & WVU - Florida Gators THIS AFTERNOON'S MEET The Gators started Sunday's tri-meet on uneven bars, posting a season-high 49.525. Half the Gators' lineup turned in season highs, including 9.9s from Riley McCusker and Harris-Miranda. Wong and Pilgrim used 9.925 to win the meet's bars title. Small balance checks and steps on landings held back UF's balance beam scores as team turned in a season-low 49.30. Sloane Blakey and Wong led Florida with marks of 9.90, which shared third overall. Skylar Draser led off with a 9.875, a score equaled by Pilgrim. The final three Gators on floor exercise all turned in marks of 9.925 or better. Sloane Blakey led by matching her season-best of 9.95 for her third consecutive floor win. Marks of 9.925 by both Wong and Harris-Miranda shared second overall. Three Gators closed the meet matching season vault highs. For the second consecutive week, Harris-Miranda anchored the lineup with a season-high 9.95 for the win. Freshman Ly Bui and Wong both matched their season highs of 9.925 to share third.
Sounds on par for Faehn re:remaining silent. She had a chance to speak up on the sexual abuse, and should've found a way to circumvent the head of US Olympic president (the guy who told Rhonda to remain quiet) and tell somebody-anybody- about the abuse. I do not understand why Faehn was so passive. At the very least, she should've demanded for a female nurse, or any female to be present whenever a gymnast had an appointment with that sicko Vassar! This is probably why schools won't hire here. I should note that this is conjecture, and I don't know anything more than what we all have read in the media. From everything I have observed and read from comments by team members, it appears that Jenny has been very pro-active with her gymnasts being treated equally and with respect, regardless of their race, religion or identity, and expects the same of them to each other.
Me too! I get "Not part of your package" pop up on the app, which is much easier to navigate thru, than on Hulu. But it IS part of my package. The only reason I have Hulu is ESPN. I also have ESPN+ from the Hulu+Disney+ deal. The only reason why I have both is to watch the Gators (and the Grand Slams). That's like $85 a month just to watch Florida (I'm sure I'm not the only one). It is extremely frustrating!
The gymnasts on Floor look as if they were running out of steam at the very end, and under rotate. This is only their fourth meet, so they shouldn't be fatigued. Maybe illness? Or the colder weather?
Some of our ladies are getting over illness..hopefully will be feeling much better by Friday's meet..
I took a nap at noon-it's been below freezing here in New York and has zapped my energy-and woke up at 2:45. I decided to wait and watch the replay. The camera angle and distance made it hard to judge scoring. I am now reading your comments and have nothing to add, except overall, the Gators looked less energized than their previous meets. Also, it was a little lonely watching the meet without you guys.
Hardheaded me tried to go into the Watch ESPN App to see if I could watch on demand. Of course, I couldn't, but I couldn't resist the try. I followed along with the stats at floridagators.com, but other than seeing the progression of the scoring, stats are worthless as tatas on a bull.
