Everything is now geared to give the players cart blanche to do anything and everything they want with zero restrictions, with not a rule in place to protect the teams and coaches.

Who would have the passion to be a college coach anymore? Hell, just grab up on a contract with a buyout and take 2-3 years of money to set yourself for life and get out. Don’t stress out over winning - just get in and get out

College football is dying on all fronts

He's 5-7 and 7-6 after two seasons at Nebraska. The 5 wins in 2023 tied for the most wins in 7 seasons. Nebraska has problems bigger than the spring game.

I doubt that Nebraska is a hotbed of poaching considering that they don't really have topnotch players.

The Nebraska fans care. I don't think being right should be the only determining factor for cancelling the spring game at Nebraska, where they probably get near double the attendance of the O&B game.

Given Wisconsin's safety will successfully win his case against his old school, the portal will be a 365 24/7 thing. He will side step the portal and just transfer to Miami even though he signed a 2 yr deal with Wisconsin. Rashada will do the same thing, some say he could possibly set the record when it comes to transferring to other schools. Maybe even transfer 3 times in a year.

 

Pretty sure the Nebraska fans don't care what other programs are doing. Whether he's right or not might not be the only factor but it's the most important factor in whether the corn people would be willing to tolerate this.
