Distance yourselves from alt right wing propaganda and misinformation. You do not want to be associated white supremacists, felons, robber barons, and conspiracy kooks.

Focus, instead, on how you can improve the economy by improving access to good jobs, fostering competition in industry, not consolidation, and funding the government from those who benefit the most. Avoid being suckered into blaming every failure in life on people who don’t look or act like you and calling it DEI as if we don’t know what you mean.

    My advice to democrats

For the first time we have an incoming government in America, a large number of whose assumed personnel are fully paid-up members of conspiracy theory culture

The debate underneath the debate has to do with authority. By what standard do we know that something is a conspiracy theory? Well, the bankrollers of the DNC who run the legacy media employ fact checkers who vote just like they do. Those are the appointed authorities who determine what is a conspiracy theory and what is not a conspiracy theory. It is quite a convenient set up when the elites appoint themselves as the gatekeepers of societally accepted truth and conspiracy theories.

The belief that Biden was a senile mentally incapacitated man unfit to hold the office of the President of the United States was once labelled a conspiracy theory.

Right-wing media figures are desperately pushing conspiracy theories about Biden ahead of the debate | CNN Business

The MSM is dead dead. The DNC is limping at best, and hardcore liberals are in hysterics 24/7. America First/MAGA is not alt-right. They want small government, border protection, fiscal responsibility, and the workplace to hire on merit, not skin color. They believe there are only two genders and do not celebrate abortion. Really, there's not too much more to it.

Both sides have a fringe element. The left is just much greater in size. You should limit your hysterical, out-of-touch threads.

MAGA wants small government until they need government. Then they want the biggest government possible. "My street has potholes! Call in the federal troops! Open Fort Knox! This is a disaster that affects me!"

Plus they are for small government except for when it comes to taking rights away from those they do not like or approve of.

Just look at DeSantis. He's staying as far away from MAGA as possible. Good. We'll need some actual Rs when MAGA flames out.

They're people doing a job (fact checkers). Nobody is telling them what to write. Will they likely lean left (of you)? Yes. But they're not going to outright lie because they are there for a reason. Just because MAGA creates alternate facts doesn't mean the fact checkers are wrong, nor that they don't lay out their reasoning. When was the last time anyone in MAGA did that? Answer: Never. Why? Because there is no reasoning beyond "own libs".

P.S. WHO labeled that a conspiracy theory? And WHO also ran with it? That's news to me. I've never heard that before, but I don't frequent the NYT, MSNBC or WaPo.

Honest question. Could you please define “small [Federal] government”? I ask because it means different things to different people. We have a gapping watchman libertarian all the way to a capped de-regulated big government continuum.

Agree on social issues. DNC left the core voter little guy and bastardized into a corporate social experiment. But, one has to be objective and see the GOP got infiltrated and is not close to being a fiscally conservative. Perhaps Trump can pull that all back to the middle as the enemy of both, but he’s going to hurt a lot of middle America in the process.

We know the right fringe has grown recently due to the felon letting so many out of jail. LOL at fiscal responsibility..... watch the debt ceiling, inflation, and deficit go crazy in the next quarter. "the workplace to hire on merit" has visibly and undoubtedly been replaced with hire on fealty.

Total bullshit. The republicans set the house on fire and ran outside and yelled “fire”.

It is correct to say America doesn’t work for the working class - republicans are right about that. The reason it doesn’t is wealthy people policies of Republicans not brown immigrants and gay folks. Bernie messages it well. Biden/Harris didn’t.

Total bullshit? Naw man, we all need to look in the mirror. Dems and Pubs left me years ago. Fight for the little guy? Poof. Fight for fiscal responsibility? Poof. Ensure education and a stable economy. Poof.

Bernie’s ideas should be rooted in capitalism based competition. He lost me with class warfare. He could be better if he focused on education and lifting people out of poverty. He tried, but we are where we are now.

    We will agree to disagree.

So, we've given up the "corporate social experiment" for a corporate theft experiment? More tax cuts for the corporations and the billionaires that own and run them? Kiss the ring and get your tax break?

I agree that Kamala "Deer in the Headlights" Harris could have tried to do much more to help the working poor (and probably could have won the election with something as simple as a promise to make raising the minimum wage a priority). But I think that was more poor campaign strategy than anything nefarious on her part.

I'm not convinced that DeSantis avoiding the MAGAts makes him a real or normal republican. He loves a good culture war as much as any Trump-fanatic out there. I think he's taking the long view in that Trump will be wheeled out of the Oval Office (a vegetable or a corpse) before he finishes his term, and he wants to be the new MAGA-style deity, so he has to run a parallel campaign to both distance himself from Trump (to pick up the pubs who don't like Trump) and to take the Trump mantle on culture warfare (to pick up the Trump voters). It's a good con--too good for a middle-of-the-road politician like DeSantis to give up on. Vance will try to run on the Trump legacy of lies and incompetence, but he's not a very good politician or a very convincing liar.

Besides, DeSantis will have to deal with his record on dealing with natural disasters and controlling costs (of homeowners insurance).

IMO, corporations are about shareholder return and profits overlayed with sustainability of the business enterprise through optimization and innovation with people and technology. If that is “corporate theft”, then IMO you have to get back to basics on government’s role in corporate law and stability of capital markets. Right now, it is tilted. The government is in triage mode plugging holes in a business market that is about exploitation of arbitrage and not about creation of value.

Do I beleive a business social stewardship? Yes. The problem is that optics of social good is picking sides. A business that supports its employees to do individual personal social good is a better way IMO.

I have zero issue with Harris. She appears by all accounts to be a decent person. She got a lousy poker hand. The DNC has to get back to the common man and woman and the little guy. IMO, they lost the thread.
