This post is perfect evidence that this DEI panic just run of the mill racism lol. Just pretend to know what people are thinking - the white people I like were hired for the good reasons, and then fall back on "the black person I dont like wasnt qualified" to describe literally the same hiring process.

 

Well that sure was a lot of words and lawyering to defend your Trump, but there are a couple of very relevant points you ignore;

1) Biden never issued such memos immediately after a deadly accident which included loss of life. Nor solely in order to falsely cast blame for a specific event.

What Biden said was generally correct, and was generally explanatory in nature, explaining logic for shifts in policy.

2)Trump, on the other hand, was speaking without any basis of fact - telling outright lies, that is. And his intent was grounded in no legitimate, explanatory purpose whatsoever. He wanted people to hear and believe his lies, and to be angry. To be aggrieved.

So other than being pretty much 100% incorrect with your false comparison, that was a great effort at verbal sleight of hand that might just work somewhere else.

Trump would be proud.

The perfect example is Kamala constantly being referred to as a DEI hire for the vice presidency. Her qualifications are at minimum on par if not better than JD Vance. But she's a female minority so obviously she's a DEI.....

Everything is about establishing an Other. In order to be aggrieved, and able to blame. To keep the followers angry.

Yeah, its ridiculous. I don't really like Kamala as a politician, but her on paper resume is as good if not better than most people who are at that level of politics. Even if Biden picked her because he thought she might give him an advantage with voters vs another person, why is that even DEI? If I want to expand my business, and I hire a Latina spanish speaker who has less experience over another candidate who's been in the business longer, but only speaks English, is that a "DEI" hire if my aim is to penetrate a market I cant get into because I lack the language skills?

 

I'm not saying he wasn't qualified. I'm saying despite his personality flaws, he was the only one available to save us from the democrat.

 

I realize the democrats are going to continue to throw out 'racism' claims despite them being the ones that classify and treat people by race.

 

I used this real life example a couple months back on a thread. We passed over a more "qualified" candidate for our GM position at my bar because said candidate didn't fit the hipster dingy vibe of our bar as well as another candidate. DEI hire I guess.

This highlights the part of AA/DEI that you all don't understand.

When you announce that you're going to treat people by race.....like Biden did with Kamala or when companies announce DEI plans.......people are going to know that's what you did.

 

Yeah, there is nothing evidence at all that this is true. Again, they had the ability to get rid of him in a primary. It wasn't even close to close.

For example, let's look at evangelical Christians in Iowa. While Trump split college-educated ones about evenly with DeSamtis, he won non-college-educated evangelicals by 3-1. That was in a competition against several Republicans, some of whom built their careers and brands on owning the libs.

The notion that most don't like him seems to be nothing more than you rationalizing for your in-group that, frankly, seems to like him, much to your chagrin.
