MAGA is all about unity. Look who joined the MAGA train: Tulsi Gabbard, formerly a Democrat on the fast track to becoming senator or president. Rock star RFK Jr and Kennedy Democrats, FDR Democrats. Old school liberals. The youth voters. Elon Musk, who the Democrats once loved. Blue collar workers. Increasing numbers of Asians, Hispanics and blacks.

MAGA is all about prosperity, peace, common sense, competency and unity. Democrats are the party of ineptitude, the LA fires, war, poverty, mass illegal immigration, homelessness, DEI, transgenderism, weaponization of gov't against its citizens and censorship.

Trump has brought the populist left and the populist right together. What could be more unifying than that?

The Democrat party has been described as a coalition of fringe groups that left to their own device would form a circular firing squad. What keeps Democrat fringe groups weakly unified is their focus on hatred of white males. The war on white is unifying whites, who are starting to realize that wokeism is nothing more complicated than anti-white racism.

 

Hmm. I suspect you guys would actually cry if that happened. The drunken tailgate needs opposing fans to shout at or the drunks just pass out.

 

Apparently MAGA is all about platitudes.

 

Gavin Newsom knows his political career is over. He's quietly giving up and eyeing a future in podcasting.

 

These days anything bipartisan only means they're hosing you twice as fast.

 

Wow this thread proves the op ed. I’d argue “demoralized” is under selling it.

Demoralizing or will the Dems like this move? Looks like the Pubs want even more of the youth vote.

 

Nepo baby. Or as we must now call it, a merit-based hire.

 

Democrats have their winter meeting in National Harbor, Maryland. The candidate forum for the next chair of the Democratic National Committee held by the Georgetown University Institute of Politics and Public Service and MSNBC Live did not disappoint. It was a total trainwreck, marred by multiple interruptions from protesters, some of which weren’t too pleased that global warming wasn’t discussed a lot or something. It was a circus, with some mulling canceling the forum altogether due to the pervasive disruptions.

Two things were exposed: Democrats have learned nothing from their 2024 loss, and we all saw again why Quinnipiac polls showing Democrats being viewed most unfavorably by voters isn’t a fluke. These are very unserious people:

The dems deserve it and will hopefully come back better than before. They lost sight of the common folks, something the party was built around and became a lecturing, ultra-progressive totalitarian party hell bent on controlling everything. The Republicans are totalitarian as well, just in a different way, mainly with sex, work for your slave owner billionaire, etc, you know, the worst part of humanity.

 

No they didn't. That's a false narrative that, sadly, the American public ignorantly bought into.

Biden strengthened the ACA - giving health care to the common folks
Biden lowered prescription drugs - helping the common folks
Biden fought for overtime pay - helping the common folks
Biden cancelled student loan debt - which I opposed, along with many, but most certainly was more beneficial to the common folks

They may have failed to articulate these things well. But these are things they did. I'm sure I could add plenty more, with a little effort.

Trump only cut corporate and top tax rates while in office. Then he just told a bunch of lies about how immigrants were supposedly hurting people, and other dishonest horse $hit, like about FEMA.

The American people failed to be even marginally aware, and thus susceptible to lies. But the Democrats didn't "lose sight" of them.
