Nebraska Volleyball coach John Cook has retired. Dani Busboom Kelly, Louisville coach, has been named as his replacement. Big doings.

 

Maybe we get lucky with a transfer or two in the wash.

Unfortunately for Marlie and Anna, she is on the Atlanta Vibe with them.

I agree. I'm pretty sure Women's Volleyball is the #2 sport on Nebraska's campus behind only football. They LOVE the sport out there.

 

They still need the right coach. Ask Alabama with Mike Shula, USC with a Kiffin, LSU with Curly Halman, Kentucky with Billy Gillespie, etc etc.
That said, the coach they hired has a great pedigree.

I don't know about this. DBK is a top tier coach, recruiter, and staff builder. And she's going back to the school she won a national championship as a player? I think Nebraska is in good hands.

That appears to be a solid signing...same club as Ellie, good size for a libero, should be able to really cover some court with that length. Berkley prep always near top in the state. The competition with Bella begins, while Adam's has the edge in experience and familiarity with the system, this new signing could be the libero in the near future. For once I'm not unhappy with another DS, this should be good competition.

 

Do you mean to say Cannan? It does seem like Cannan is coming of an injury but who knows how severe it was. I've seen that Vogel has been doing good in practice, and both Devin and Lily seem to be highly rated. Would not be surprised to see one of the three be the libero and possibly sign to that ds role. Passing and defense will be key in making a run to the natty, as the offense will for sure be there.

 

Would it be out of line to ask about our injured Gators?
