Rambling again: I saw one of those box things at the gym that Skyler jumps on flat footed posted on Instagram .It was only about 2’ high. I think she does 4’ or more. I was tempted but it had BROKEN HIP written all over it. If you have time search for her on Instagram and watch some of her workouts. I hope she uses her success to quickly get into coaching. With her work ethic she could develop quickly. BTW, FGCU Head coach is retiring at the end of 2025 season. Decent program (NCAA 2024) with growth potential, weak facilities, great location. All their home preseason games are on ESPN+.
Looks like Flosports has added a lot of additional softball in February. They always do the Mary Nutter and Puerto Vallerta but they are showing a lot of additional stuff starting on the 6th including some tournament in Boca that looks promising. I always miss the other one...what is it FCSA or something like that. Help me out. What is the correct organization? I haven't signed up for a month of Flosports yet but it is usually $30 and I consider it money well spent. Ocala just fell off his chair in a crying heap.
All of their home games for the season are on ESPN+. If we play there, I haven't looked, it will be on ESPN+. They don't have a league with contractual limitations as we do. And, apparently, they have better broadcast facilities than us which is shameful.
lol...you can cross that place off the list....Keagan, according to them, is not in the top 50 of pitchers in the country. Every village has an idiot.
I know I keep harping on this but this is why I basically pay no attention to any of these rankings. Keagan and Jordy are not part of the top 50 pitchers in the country? For most lists Taylor had to scratch the top 20, if that. Ariel, if ranked at all, was usually somewhere between 50 and 100. These lists are nothing but fool's gold. Ava Hodo, the catcher from the Thunderbolts we would have given an arm and a leg to get, was ranked #1 in one service and #47 in another. It is a joke.
Almost all lists that are entirely generated by “data” are going to have weird characteristics. People watching games certainly aren’t perfect either, and I could reasonably see Rothrock lower than us Gators would rank her. However, ranking her outside the top 50 definitely should make the publishers rethink their equation.
We play them at home 2/26. Last year’s game (9-0)at Ft. Meyers was on ESPN+.We also beat them (6-0) in regional.. Ain’t I a fountain of useless info?
I had high hopes for her when she first signed. Will be interesting to see if she can work her way into a contributing position this year.
Rick is the resident expert when it comes to evaluating these players coming out of high school and travel ball. I think he hit a homerun with Taylor as well as Red......both will be super stars.
Liv has clearly lost weight. She may be on a strength and fitness program. I watched her pitched against South Carolina last year. She has a mean change up and a great rise ball. I am hoping that Coach Stephanie can raise her game.
My brother Phil and I will be at the 2025 Softball First Pitch on Saturday. Since Softball Diamond Club is free this year, we were not mailed Diamond club decals as part of our membership. To whom this may concern, would it be possible to get a Gator Softball 2025 Diamond Club decal for our cars. If we can, that will be great.
