So the Super Bowl teams are set... Chiefs v Eagles. Boo, I was hoping for a Bills v Lions matchup, but whatever. Tired of the Chiefs... Go Eagles, I guess. Looks like two Gators on the Eagles and Chiefs each: CJ Gardner-Johnson (S) and Fred Johnson (OT) for the Eagles DJ Humphries (OT) and Jawaan Taylor (OT) for the Chiefs I hope that list is accurate as I really don't follow the NFL that much. Anyway, who you got and why?
Live in Philly so I am cheering for the Eagles. Andy and Mahomes have enough hardware, although I really respect Andy, best coach in the NFL IMO.
The facemask penalty against Kaiir was a joke. They need to start calling facemask penalties on RB's and Receivers when they push off and stiff arm.
Elam has been a bust for the Bills. #1 draft choice who will probably get cut. I love the Bills, but don't like their coach. Think they could do better. Love Josh Allen, but he could be like Dan Marino - great career stats and no ring.
Chiefs are going to win and probably won't be close (by 14 or so). Would rather the Eagles win I guess but I was hoping for Bills and Redskins. If a team wants to win a super bowl all they have to do is pay Mahomes whatever he wants. It's kind of like Brady now.
I dont even watch the NFL but at this point Im convinced that the Chiefs are the NFL's version of Alabama. Meticulously protected by the referees and the league (in Alabama's case the SEC) to make sure their darling child makes it to the title fight and they get their story lines. Some of the calls and no-calls that popped on twitter last night were insane. If I had to guess the patriots creating a real-life David vs Goliath story line and the ratings that followed I think made a lot of people in the NFL a lot of money and they want to make sure they have a "successor" and have made sure Kansas City was allowed to fill the role left by Tom Brady leaving NE.
