Taking Auburn to the wire at their place while holding them to 53 is an impressive result for Tenn. Gators will need max effort this week.

 

What a game. Heartbreaker. I thought UT had it. Johni Broome is definitely back.

 

Broome held a Tennessee player on offense when Tennessee had the lead with about a minute left.
Resulting in a turnover, the announcers couldn’t believe it wasn’t called, out front and in the open, the ref watching it happen. Auburn scored to take the lead and it was basically over. Barnes even threw a water bottle on the floor when Broome didn’t get called for the holding. Auburn got one they didn’t deserve. On the road n the SEC is tough.

 

Also made four straight free throws in OT.

 

Fans storm the court. Vandy has a really got a good coach.

 

There was so much holding in that game it was incredible. It got to the point where it was the norm, so Broome probably expected to get away with it…and did

 

Surprising to see Broome return to the lineup so quickly.

Holding a guy essentially makes him useless. It needs to always be called.

 

Yea, but I thought Broome got away with a lot more than just holding. Guess that's how it works when youre a star and especially at home.

Off topic, but I saw that Broome is from Tampa area. Don't recall, but I assume Gators recruited him??

And normally at Vandy vs UK it is mostly UK fans.

 

This year Vandy beat Alabama in football. They cleared the Vudoo on the basketball program. They have beaten Tennessee, Kentucky at home this year, beat us last year at home. Their new coach is putting bodies in the seats and is a solid coach. Heck they beat us with Stackhouse which was an embarrassment to Gator fans. Hopefully we can take them out this year, I will be in the old gym once again pulling for the Gators.
To be honest, the few fans they had there, only had to crawl down and storm the floor. made the Nashville late night news, LOL.

 

I hope you mean the O'Dome for the old gym because we don't play them in Nashville this year.

 

Oops, my bad. Well, I am hoping for a win at the Odome. I won’t be traveling in February as I broke my wrist and have surgery on Tuesday, followed up by lots of Physical therapy. My doc okayed me to volunteer for working the SEC tournament, so I will see the Gators live before the NCAA tournament. I miss being near Gainseville for live D1 sports. Yesterday the first half had the nation on notice, the boys put on quite a show. Clayton is unbelievable driving the basket making it look so easy. The new Nashville stadium is coming along in two years hopefully they can get regional or even the final four.

 

announcers commented Broom got away with a shuffle and I think he got away with a double hop the previous possession. No call.

Loved how Tennessee ran for the locker room after our game thinking we were gonna storm the court. Lol, nope, you’re still just Tennessee.
