Lol! Nah..just reminding yall of the sundry reasons that yall lost, and....THAT yall lost.

Judging from the post election posting on here, seems both of those have been completely lost on yall.

eg--you're STILL clamoring on about how muricans are too stupid to realize how wonderful everything was under Doh! Biden, and how much more wonderful everything woulda' been under sKamala.

    Alas...you're simply choking on....

    DEMOCRACY.

Here’s what I think, based in everything I’ve read. The Dems ran their campaign against Trump and all the personal baggage that runs with him.

Trump ran a fear-based campaign against the economy, the border, and a slew of other collateral issues. People were not happy with the economy or the border, and voted accordingly.

In the end, the Dems had no real substantive message other than vote for Kamala or you’ll end up with Trump.
    That message failed miserably.

Nah. 2 complete records stacked side by side.

The messaging was secondary to memory/experience.

TBL, deny as you will, > $1 BILLION campaign and all kinds of Dummyrat shenanigans, couldn't message their way out of reality, and voters' memories.

    Pretty accurate.

Dems clearly misjudged the (lack of) character of most of the electorate.

The average American apparently is obsessed with Greenland, Birth Right Citizenship, The Panama Canal, and revenge on political adversaries…. Let me know Trump does something to improve my life….

I blame Harris a bit more than Biden. She could have called for an open primary and shown character over power and hubris. Putting it to the Democratic Party voters would have signaled strength or weakness in the voting block and provided a path to win in swing states.

I just bought two dozen eggs and 2 chickens to roast this weekend and filled up my car. All were cheaper 2 weeks ago.

Sigh. Republicans got wiped out 4 short years ago. It’s not culture war BS. Only right wing trolls think that nonsense. You’ll see in the next election when it flips back to Democrats. . It won’t be because everyone went woke. It’ll be because, again, middle class is dissatisfied with their situation and will vote out incumbents until someone does something which looks like never. Consolidation of wealth continues unabated.

Considering the Biden withdrew on July 21, 2024, primaries were completely out of the question. The only alternative would have been an open convention and the end result may not have been all that different than Biden's coronation of Harris following his withdrawal. Said it before for the Democrats to have had any chance Biden would have had to withdraw no later than September 2023 which would have provided ample time for open primaries and even then the party would have been behind the proverbial eight ball considering that Biden and the Democrats were blamed for inflation of late 2021 and 2022 (unfairly I might add but that really doesn't matter) and any Democratic candidate would have been stuck with that legacy.

Even though he is doing his best (out of ignorance not intentionally) it will probably take at least six months before Trump tanks the economy.

Fair assessment. My point is her calling for an open convention may have galvanized support.

Trump ran a campaign that focused on issues that interested the majority of voters.

Dems had nothing to run on and Kamala's entire persona made it worse.

Harris didn’t do well in 2020 Dem primaries and dropped out. She had some of the worst approval ratings as a VP. She was a very bad candidate. But, she was able to cut across the infield and got the nomination after Biden forced her name into the spot.

He ran on egg prices. They suck worse now and he is on record saying he isn’t expecting lower food prices.
