CNN cuts off President Trump speech with NC Survivors

Let's pick and choose which states to give aid to depending on their willingness to kiss the emperor's ass. And they like to bitch about being "divisive". Freakin hyprocrites.

 

You realize that isn't how the federal budget works, don't you? You don't just get to say "Congress allocated $X to this task, but I'd prefer to spend that money on something else, so I will just ignore the budget and send it to this other task." The federal budget isn't some giant slush fund.

 

The hurricane was 4 months ago. What should FEMA be doing? My kid lives in Boone. It’s business as usual. You guys crack me up.

This is all about setting up an Other to be angry at, in this case bad bad foreigners leeching our aid. Trump gets his supporters all angry that that isn't going to the needy people in America who Trump would NEVER spend federal funds on.....

.....then Trump gives himself and his friends a tax cut.

It's not like he hasn't both done it before and literally told us the plan.

It's either that or Donny's bringing Ben Bernanke out of retirement to fly around in a MAGA-painted helicopter and drop $100 bills all over Western Carolina, while wearing an Uncle Sam suit.

It's probably the tax cut con.

 

I have no idea how things are being done in NC and Cali but I did work with FEMA after a few hurricanes during my 25 years with Orange County. We would be instructed to meet at a fire station at 6am on the morning after a hurricane to get our instructions. They usually paired a building inspector with someone from the tax assessors office. The inspector would drive to and the assessor take notes. When they came upon damage the inspector would make a structural report and the assessor put a $$$ amount to it. No fema money would be released until all reports were completed. The cool thing about it was we all got paid out of FEMA funds and FEMA paid everybody the pay scale of the highest paid county employee so most of us got a nice little raise for the time worked.

 

I heard a lady online say there were women with babies living in tents with snow on the ground. She said Trump had done more in 2 days than Biden did in 4 months, such as moving people into hotels. How much of what she said is true, don't know. This should be more of a state issue than a federal issue imo.
