#41 includes revocation of the order that no longer required COVID vaccinations for federal employees.

So this order actually reinstates the vaccine requirement.

Samsung Electronics is considering moving the manufacturing of dryers from its plant in Mexico to its plant in South Carolina, Korea Economic Daily reported, citing unnamed industry sources.

LG Electronics is also considering moving the manufacturing of refrigerators from Mexico to its factory in Tennessee, which makes washing machine and dryers, the newspaper said.

Samsung, LG may move some home-appliance manufacturing from Mexico to US, paper says

Oh wow, another round of Trump's bullshit about bringing back manufacturing jobs. I guess now, just like 8 years ago, we'll be hearing about every time Pizza Hut hires a new waiter.

From the end of the financial crisis in 2010, the number of manufacturing jobs (with the covid aberration) has grown at almost a straight line growth rate, regardless of who is POTUS.

Imagine being gullible enough to fall for this garbage a second time.

The empirical evidence is clear-cut. The costs of protectionist trade policies far exceed the benefits. The losses suffered by consumers exceed the gains reaped by domestic producers and government. Low income consumers are relatively more adversely affected than high-income consumers. Not only are there inefficiencies associated with excessive domestic production and restricted consumption, but there are costs associated with the enforcement of the protectionist legislation and attempts to influence trade policy.

The empirical evidence also suggests that the adverse consumer effects of protectionist trade policies are not short-lived. These policies generate lower economic growth rates than the rates associated with free trade policies. In turn, slow growth contributes to additional protectionist pressures.

LOL. We'll all be paying several years of back salary.

Edit; this is probably about $1 billion, right?

Day 1 Trump promises kept are all in 1 category: Promises that were Culture Signaling

Day 1 Trump promises broken are all in 1 category: Promises that help people (such as lower food costs)

It's a good visual but rather expensive stunt considering that it's considerably more costly to deport illegals on Air Force C-17s than it would be on charted 737s as has been the practice under every previous administration including during Trump's first term.
Up to $852,000: How much Trump ends up paying for each deportation flight - The Economic Times
The Department of Defense (DOD) has deployed two C-17s and two C-130E planes for "migrant repatriation flights." Based on DOD estimates, a single flight involving a C-17 cost approximately $252,000 to transport 80 migrants from El Paso, Texas, to Guatemala City. However, using a C-130E for the same 12-hour flight could cost between $816,000 and $852,000. In contrast, The Mirror reported that DHS-chartered flights typically cost just $8,577 per trip.
