Alarming that even in second term, felon and staff can't get it right, bypassing all clearance protocols. Afterall it's only the top secrets of America. However, this should now allow these people access to the bathroom at Mar-A-Lago.

According to the article in the OP:

"The Executive Office of the President requires qualified and trusted personnel to execute its mandate on behalf of the American people," Trump said in Monday's memorandum to the White House Counsel. "There is a backlog created by the Biden Administration in the processing of security clearances of individuals hired to work in the Executive Office of the President."

I can see the President wanting to speed up the process to his people to work.

The felon's incompetence makes the country's vital information at risk. In the article:

"However, he believes that Monday's decision was likely due to the Trump transition team's failure to initiate the vetting process and make necessary preparations for incoming personnel.

"They've got to circumvent all the rules because they didn't do what they needed to do on a timely basis," Henderson said. "And now they're trying to get it done immediately...and just bypass all the rules."

Especially pathetic because this is 2nd term. But the felon has consistently shown disdain/ incompetence with top secrets multiple times previously.

Trump didn't have any respect for security protocols during his first term so it shouldn't be surprising that he still doesn't. As one example during his first term he overrode the recommendation of career professionals to provide his son-in-law Jared Kushner with a Top Secret clearance. He is undoubtedly doing the same this time around.
Trump Ordered Officials to Give Jared Kushner a Security Clearance

of more importance is the part about revoking the clearances of folks that should no longer have it.

You mean Jared of course, not sure but isn't it illegal to be a registered agent for Kuwait and have his security clearance?

Let us know when they find cocaine in the West Wing near the Oval Office.

Isn’t it odd that cocajne was found in the most secure building in the country and they could never figure out who’s it was or how it got there????

Don’t you mean Saudi Arabia? And if so, as long as he is not representing the government of Saudi to the federal government, he does not have to register as a foreign agent. What I think you mean is does Jared have financial ties to or in foreign countries. In which case he does.

We really do not know the details at this point. Are Interim clearances being granted now because the Biden Admin would not sponsor Trump’s transition team’s recommendations for clearances back in the summer? If the Biden Admin did, did the Trump transition team fall down on the job? A lot of assumptions being made based off of one article that has a lot of uncertainty in it.

"President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team still has not sent policy advisers to coordinate with the federal agencies he is preparing to take over, delaying preparations that could be key to executing his ambitious agenda.
The Trump transition signed an agreement Nov. 26 paving the way for those “landing teams” to begin work in the agencies. But before they can do that, the transition has to submit its lists of people who will serve on the teams to the Biden administration — and they just began sending over those names late this week, the White House confirmed Friday."

    Seems self-inflicted.

Certainly could be but it is easy for the incumbent’s team to slow things down and then blame the incoming team. Wiles and Lacivita aren't newbie like Bannon and Co were last time. Let’s wait for a little more info to come out before making conclusions.

Not everyone needs a security clearance to start working the transition

Of course not, but has never been a secret that certain individuals will need clearances. There has long been a set of protocols on how security clearances are processed.... for a valid reason: say you have a nominee for a Cabinet position that has a poor history of DEI issues (drunk, entitled and ignorant) , you may find someone could compromise him (blackmail). That's why there's clearances.

I know far more about clearances and process for them than you’ll be able to read about on the internet.

Three “Off Topics”, a “Come on Man” and a silly response from our resident libbies. I guess that one broke some skin.

Great. So explain how it is in the best interest of the US for the felon to ignore this.
