Yep... Is there anyone better that wants to commit to be, at best, 2nd string? If anyone has any issues with him, I'd want to know if they watched him in the bowl against UW? Then tell us what your issue is. I'm glad he chose to be a Gator!
Well ge wasn't anything special when he played against us atbTrnnessee... but that was years ago. Let's hope he has gotten some decent experience. One game against Washington doesn't prove much... but then again, one game against Texas last year proved a lot for us...
Really? Just off the top of my head it proved he can play well as a backup, has a good arm, can be accurate, throw into tight spots, make good decisions and is mobile enough to avoid pressure and make plays with his feet. I'd call that "much".
He has P5 experience along with SEC experience. He played very well in a bowl game against last years championship runner up.
This is a guy that CBN is looking at as a backup. He's not going to be a starter unless something really bad happens. But, I trust him as a starter more than I trust Warner.
Wouldn’t surprise me if he plays some against the mutts. Which would be somewhat ironic. And interesting.
These were his stats against us in 2020. I believe he was the starter, but was relieved in the second half: C/ATT YDS AVG TD INT QBR 14/21 111 5.3 1 0 46.7 CAR YDS AVG TD LONG 9 -19 -2.1 0 15 I attended that game and if I recall, he was pretty much a statue behind UT's terrible OL and took a lot of sacks that night. That was Beldar's last night as HC and UT fired him soon after for McDonald's-gate.
