End of the day, Hamas should be eradicated. The idea will persist in Palestinians absent a path to a way of life and acceptance in the international community. At the same time, Israeli’s need to forgive. Personally, I dislike a two-state solution. A secular state is the only way to not have a conflict over land.

I disagree. Israel can do more than what they have.

You don’t think the Biden admin has asked them to limit their attacks on civilians, hospitals, schools, etc.? Legit requests imo.

The Israelis have self imposed more restrictions in how they carried out this war than anything the US did in OIF and OEF. The only thing they are worried about is the US keeping up the arms sales.

That’s ok. I believe you. Just see so much misinformation that I think is from legit sources. That’s why I said if.

Just curious on your thoughts on the 60
Minutes episode where they reported how the US approached the war early and the bombs deployed. Felt like Biden admin was liberal in arms and Israel was not as restrictive. Might be I misinterpreted the reporting.

Haven't actually seen it but I know a bunch of Israel friendly groups were very upset about it. The podcast I was referencing had a coupe US Federal Appeals judges that went over to Israel and were able to see the process they use for clearing strikes. Basically the Israeli JAG can cancel a strike where in OEF and OIF, it was still up to the US commander.

You are correct. Two of the four American hostages are on the list for the first exchange.

I think the bigger issue is how the next Israeli leader will be viewed. Netanyahu already said the hostage deal is not an end to the War, and I think most leaders believe he will continue the War if given any excuse. But will the next guy who takes his place have the same resolve? I doubt it, and I suspect the Iranians/Hamas people have the same thought—wait him out and the en return to the mean.

And even with those restrictions (much of which was grossly under-reported and twisted), they have achieved more than anyone ever thought even possible. Israel has severely weakened the Iranian axis. Unfortunately, there are few that have the resolve of Netanyahu, and that the axis will be rebuilt, likely stronger the next time.
