Apparently you didn't actually read my entire message. I said that Thomas should have NEVER been allowed to compete. My point was that contrary to the way Thomas has been portrayed (s)he's not Michael Phelps in drag.

Well this is interesting .... DOE, Title IX, NIL, and eventually congress. Wonder how schools will address biological males competing as females for the Title IX - NIL directive?!

Title IX memo throws wrench in plans for schools to pay NIL money directly to athletes

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Plans for colleges to pay athletes directly for their name, image and likeness deals would run afoul of Title IX, the Department of Education said in guidance issued Thursday that adds more confusion to the shifting landscape in college sports.

The nine-page memo from the department's Office for Civil Rights said NIL money that goes to athletes should be treated the same as athletic financial aid — i.e., scholarships. It's a position that, if it remains in place after President-elect Donald Trump takes office, could upend plans that many schools are making for next school year.

    +

Many schools have publicly stated that the majority of that money would go to football and men's basketball players, which, according to the guidance, would be in violation of Title IX.

“When a school provides athletic financial assistance in forms other than scholarships or grants, including compensation for the use of a student-athlete’s NIL, such assistance also must be made proportionately available to male and female athletes,” the memo said.

This is what you get when enough people call or write their representatives about issues.

You did say the first part, then made the assertation that since Thomas didn't break the women's 500 meter record that it wasn't a big deal. Otherwise why bring it up? Who's portraying Thomas as an Olympic champion? Fact is Thomas won and it cost some women who worked most of their life for that trophy. Don't blame me for you trying to minimize Thomas beating the women.

For indoor use. If we are being serious, indoor gas stoves cause far more health issues than fruit loops. It’s a known factor causing asthma.

I’ve never had one myself, have only had electric or induction cooktops (I vaguely remember maybe having one in a childhood home, hell we had an oil tank in the basement for heat, I think the stove was gas). But have stayed in a few vacation homes with gas ranges. I didn’t like that I could actually smell the fumes in the home, one in particular had me paranoid it might blow up lmao.

I know some people consider it an upgrade for cooking, and the high end homes typically have a huge overhead vent. That might be “less bad” if you run that fan to ventilate, but the cookie cutter homes with gas ranges and a microwave over the top seem like a bad idea for indoor air quality as the under microwave vents I’m not sure would suffice.

Never lived in a place with a gas range and I prefer lucky charms rather than fruit loops

So if asthma is an issue then I suggest not buying a gas stove and not banning their use by others. We love ours. I reject the premise that banning gas stoves is anything other than global warming tyranny religion. And yes you can bet the Bernie, bidens and pelosi etc all have viking gas ranges .

So the solution to that problem would be to allow only transgender athletes who have been castrated or have had their entire male packages surgically removed to compete as women ;)?

    This.

If anyone doesn’t want to own a gas stove, gas burning auto, gun, Pit Bull, eat at fast food restaurants, eat meat, etc., then don’t.

Leave those that do the option to choose.
