Why does Bezos keep coming up? He owns Amazon. Nothing to do with Instagram or YouTube. Get your tech oligarchs right. They are watching.

Old people still think of millennials as annoying kids. Your average millennial has a mortgage, 2 kids, and a dad bod.

    &

I thought i remembered OP mentioning them as the primary beny's, and from your quote above, seems he did--but prolly since edited after you pointed the error out.

Check that--it's in the thread title.

Either way, your point is well taken.

So now Bezos and Zuckerberg are bad?

Bezos was good before his newspaper didn’t endorse a candidate and Zuckerberg was good when you needed him to sensor/suppress facts and create election interference.

    What changed?

When will we see a thread about how bad George Soros is?

I thought Soros was good now because Trump appointed quite possibly his closest, non-relative associate to run Treasury?

A real irony could be that the politician who was behind the banning of TikTok during his first time as president could end up ingratiating himself with TikTok users if he restores the platform should it temporarily go dark as the result of legislation that he once supported.

From what I’m hearing Trump will try to save Tic Tok.

Think of all the young fans that will become Trumpets.

These people have never been good. Zuck literally stole the idea for FB, then tried to remove his initial investor. Worse, he refuses to protect children on his platforms when there’s plenty of evidence they are driving children to suicide. Bezos made a fortune while most of his employees were on government programs.

People white knighting for oligarchs because they think they agree with their political views are weak and pathetic. News flash, they don’t give a rats ass about your political views. They’ll do whatever is convenient. They’ll mow down your whole family if it gives more glory and power.

I’ve used TikTok more than I care to admit. The danger is in the POTENTIAL for China to use the proprietary formula to shape the conscious of the American people.

Take the LA fires for example. The propriety algorithm pushed dozens of stories regarding the fires from posters (not real news sources) that I don’t follow after I watched a few videos about the fires. Let’s assume it was the LA race riots instead of fires and HALF of the US population is on TikTok (latter isn’t an assumption). TikTok directly controls the narrative that a massive amount of the US population uses for news.

Would you trust Uncle Sam to control a secret formula that half of the Chinese population used? I wouldn’t and certainly don’t trust the Chinese Government with that amount of power.

It’s also making our country dumber. In China it spits out STEM videos to kids, here it spits out stupid addicting videos of dogs on skateboards that kids can watch for days.

Plus the amount of info it has on every American user as numerous others have mentioned.

I support the ban, even though I don’t think I would fall for the propaganda (but I probably already have).

Ya, he's calculating the political payoff right now. Maybe a financial interest as well, somehow.

Obviously has no concern for America's best interests, as he and his supporters didn't give a $hit about welcomed Russia influencing the public consciousness through social media.
