I think we're supposed to do a lot of pretending. Like that a certain candidate didn't repeat, on multiple occasions, the actual words of a certain Western European historical figure.

We're supposed to pretend that a failed candidate holding a rally (which turned violent) on the very day to certify an election that that candidate had lost..... was normal and acceptable.

We're not supposed to pejoratively characterize the intellect of a group of people that voted for a guy who publicly stated lied that immigrants were eating dogs.

Like I said - pretending. We're in interesting times.

Bear in mind that you're talking to people who voted for a guy who literally told them lied to them that schools were performing sex change operations on students without parents' permission.
