Again. There's really nothing for us to discuss because you think my opinion on why one side focuses on culture wars and not class warfare is based on my envy of the wealthy. You brought that to the discussion and until you'd like to address that there's really nothing we can talk about because you think my opinion is based on jealousy. Which is, by the way, funny.....

You can call my response weak or running away or whatever. I promise I don't care. I didn't come here to discuss trans issues. I was responding to another poster about why they focus on these issues

It's almost like "associations" have allowed the unfairness in the first place.

Thats like trusting the arsonist to be fire chief

It sucks when private groups don't make decisions that you like. Perhaps, you can have government dictate everybody's behavior, right? Or, alternatively, we can let the people who know their sports best make decisions about participation in their sport. But, sometimes, they might not decide the way you want them to decide. So government mandates in behavior it is!

    1. Sports at public institutions Isn't private.
    2. Government enforces all kinds of fairness initiatives on the private sector all the time.
(Where did you stand when government municipalities were "dictating" silly "bathroom" laws on private businesses?)

Perhaps you support all of that interference..."Right?"

The associations that govern them absolutely are. The NCAA is not a government entity. If there is some state entity that runs a sports league, that is a decision for the state. I am not aware of any federal government sports associations.

Government guarantees access (e.g., rules for handicapped access or against racial discrimination in certain businesses). You are trying to advocate for the opposite, restricting access.

I don't think that government should mandate anything about bathroom access with the exception of preventing discrimination. Of course, that includes your silly position too of banning trans people from bathrooms (by doing blood tests or checking out people genitalia, I guess).

Not really. I am generally opposed to government dictating private business policy except to provide access to crucial services.

So your honest discussion is about breaking up the wealthy Americans.
    That is so commendable.
Why do you care about the uber wealthy?
It seems like envy and it comes almost exclusively from the left.

Claim: Nobody cares, not a big enough issue, worry about more important things
Observation: Thread started yesterday, 5 pages, and over 1,000 views

Whether you like the verbiage or not, the intent is to add clarity for something that most people took as common sense. Not sure how anybody can read the bill and think "big government." Was the implementation of Title IX also "Big Government," just not in a condescending way?

IMO, this is stupid math & it exposes the disregard for women. The idea that this would only affect the transgender athletes is ludicrous.

Bad math/disregard for women not new wrt this topic.

3 trans girls in a HS. They don't feel comfy using the boys room, so let them use the girls room. Problem solved. Those 3 are comfy. UHHH, what about the bio girls' comfort? Does it not matter?

It's an example of an issue that has generated apparent concern and a political response completely disproportionate to the actual reality. Transgender persons represent approximately one percent of the population and the percentage that are participating in organized competitive athletics is undoubtedly far smaller. Title IX is big government but it affects a far larger percentage of the population than do the laws concerning transgender persons.

The solution is actually fairly simple solution. Provide a private restroom/changing room for transgender persons. Problem solved.

But those agency's are all subject to Title IX and these abuses of it are relevant. (That is what I am getting at).

No, governing associations are not "subject" to Title IX. Regardless, Title IX does not make requirements for transgendered participation in every sport.

No need. It's been beaten to death ad nauseam on this board. There's nothing more to discuss. And thats the point @G8tas and I made.

The GOP won't offer solutions to problems like healthcare, insurance, cost of living, home prices, education, the massive growing wealth gap or myriad other things that effect hundreds of millions of Americans. They instead focus on culture war stuff because it gets y'all all lathered up every time.

So like I said, enjoy the culture wars. It's played out and there are actual massive problems in this country that nobody wants to solve.
