That's not what I said about Smart telling Rashada to not litigate. I said Smart could have/should have ended his relationship with Rashada. Smart had no obligation to have the coming distraction on his team.

If he felt he had to honor any already signed agreement with Rashada, he should have said so. If that is the case, he could have couched his words differently plus it may be that Rashada was given no choice except to go back into the portal.

Either way, Kirby Smart didn't have to give his blessing or approval. Expressing a reservation is far different that telling Rashada not to move forward.

You are entitled to your opinion. Yet, it doesn’t really matter what you decide to believe, does it? It’s not Smart’s place to bless or discourage Rashada from non program related legal matters and I believe were the roles reversed, Napier would have acted similarly. Smart was clear on his position. You are owed nothing and Smart was not obligated to state whether or not Rashada’s pursuits changed his standing with the program.

He ought to sue Smart for wasting a year of his eligibility

Just taking Rashada in the first place tells you all you need to know. It's not like he played when Beck went down. He could've brought anybody he wanted in for the third quarterback and that's what he chose. He's always choosing to stir up shit, but that's OK, if I were the coach of the gators, I would strip shit with him too

He's their Spurrier. And yes, the troll factor was definitely in play. But this is also low-rent stuff SOS wouldn't have engaged in. He'd rather just put record numbers on your ass in your home.

What was that score in Sanford stadium again? I think it's still the worst beating they've ever taken there.

Yes, Spurrier was unlikable by most other teams, but in a much different way. He was never a douche bag like Kirby Smart.

My guess is the lawsuit just ended his playing career - a pariah.

I believe he sent Danny back out late in the 4th because someone threw something that hit one of our trainers in the head. Gave an order to throw another TD to send the dawgs a message.

Except I think it was Eric Kresser who threw the last TD in that game. I believe it came immediately following a cup of tobacco spit that landed at Spurrier’s feet

    No- that wasn't UGA.
It was the 2000 Mississippi State- the infamous "punt on 3rd down" game where State beat us and everything went wrong for us and we lost.
During the storming of the field, one of our trainers or other sideline personnel got hurt.
Spurrier used that as motivation and as an excuse to beat Miss State mercilessly the next year 52-0.
But Danny was long gone. Grossman was our qb then.

He would be counter sued for wasting lockerspace and dropping shower soap everywhere he's been.

I recall that incident clearly. It was so egregious, even Tim Brando went off about it in his post-game comments. Brando openly hates on UF and her fans on a regular basis, so you can only imagine what it must have taken to make him react the way he did in that particular instance. IMO, it's just another proof of the fact that talk of an "SEC Brotherhood", as it pertains to UF, is total hogwash. The only purpose the SEC serves in my world is to provide a line-up of solid adversaries for whom I have little respect and whom I truly enjoy beating. When it comes to the SEC, sentiment has no place with me at all.

I used to feel differently, but, I am right there with you now, lizard. I now root for teams based primarily on their impact on UF's positioning in the conference or polls. The only exceptions to that are Georgia, LSU, Miami and fsu. I root against those teams at every opportunity.
