Florida Public School Graduation Rate Reaches An All-Time High

    Exactly.

    There isn’t even a logical disconnect. It makes perfect sense. If graduation rates have indeed gone up by 20-30% in 3 decades some of those students (who may have previously dropped out) may even be taking the SAT, thus lowering the avg SAT score. It’s still a good thing that they graduate instead of dropping out. SAT (or ACT) has nothing to do with that really, those tests are attempting to sort something else.

    Very important that poor or average students need to graduate. Without finishing high school or at least a GED even most trades and trade schools other well paying jobs will not hire people. There are many jobs out there that can turn into a good living without college but not many without high school.

    Good news. Even better that we are maximizing our teachers without overpaying them.

    Wasn't there a thread a few months ago about FL education being highly ranked but we had some of the lowest paid teachers?

    This just proves you don't need to over pay to keep up with other sates.
