It's going to be interesting to see how DeSantis plays this. IMO, he hates Trump and thinks he's the best suited to lead that movement (He's right). The Lara Trump nonsense will be telling. Will he bend the knee to Trump and give it to Plastic-Surgery Face, or will he appoint Moody with an agreed swap for the elections in 2 years? I hope it's the latter. He IS better than these losers and he should fight for what's his. The Senate seat is his for the taking if he wants it, MAGA or no MAGA.

Show the evidence. Total BS that you guys always pivot to a rumor that was never confirmed when there is ample evidence against your "guy".

Maybe you should ask yourself why you would defend these creatines.

I would not vote for him. So he has the fix for Florida insurance. Sounds like his plan is California's. Don't give them the rates they need to stay here and make money. So the insurance companies leave the state and now people don't have coverage or they go to the state pool and the tax payers foot the bill for the claims. People are complaining because State Farm left California last year and now a bunch of people don't have coverage. They could have bought coverage but probably didn't want to pay the new premiums after State Farm cancelled them and stopped writing new business. State Farm left because they could not get California to let them have the rates they needed for the risk.

If he has an R next to his name he must be protected at all costs even if he was inappropriate with someone's child. We must protect family values based on if it makes us look bad or not

We're not in a position to point our nose up at any other states and insurance system when Florida has the highest rate of uninsured in the country because it's so unaffordable

Once a person enters politics they never leave. Not by their own volition anyway. Bipartisan issue. Not that this guy isn't particularly terrible as a human.

It's been the CW in Florida Republican circles that Lara Trump was never going to happen. DeSantis wants a place holder for two years that would allow him the flexibility to run for the seat if he wants in '26. He was not going to seed the seat to the Trump family.

I would look for DeSantis to appoint a very senior Florida politician that would love to have the title of Senator for the remainder of their life but has no interest in running again in '26.

Let's hope so. I don't want that worthless, carpetbagging POS anywhere near our senate seat given how hard it is to get them out once they're in there.

I really don’t. Harris went out of her way to run as a moderate. She may not have appeared comfortable doing so, but the circumstances required it. And the voters responded accordingly. But,regardless, I don’t think Harris would be considered a charismatic candidate.

I agree with you on Harris’ charisma as a candidate. I think her resume looks great on paper and then she bombs the in person interview.

I’ve always thought politicians from purple states tend to be better at campaigning since they have had to learn how to appeal to independents in a general election and not just to their base. Which is why I was thinking Democrats might be open to a purple or red state Democrat next time around since winning would likely be more important than policy.
