Sources state that Miami may be the destination because his girlfriend, Haley Cavinder, plays on the women's basketball team there. Cant throw until March. Wont be able to fully practice in the spring. Will most likely be the starter for our game, after that who cares.

That's a quick turn around, I thought I read where it was closer to a year long rehab for a baseball pitcher last year. Maybe that's the difference in elbow stress between sports though.
Miami makes sense especially with his girlfriend there. He is an important pick-up for Miami, but for some reason, Beck doesn't scare me that much. Miami will be a test but not like with Cam Ward.
In baseball, power arms can stretch out closer to 2 years until they’re fully back. 12 months is pretty fast. I was surprised to hear them saying he’d be ready to start the season. Different sports and different strains on the arm I guess.
