Ah yes, the Clemson model. Dabo constantly preaches that he recruits players who are all in or rather that they have the correct character that leads to wins.

Does that collection of high-quality characters include the ones who got caught juicing (but Dabo knew nothing, of course)?

Watched him against Oregon and Ohio State. Pads his stats against the rest of the Big 10 and doesn't seem to show his 5* worth against the big dogs.

Well, we can go through the whole season and rehash which teams defeated who. My point is, OSU put the finishing touch on getting us in by eliminating ASU. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I felt bad for him after the INT. That was as bad or worse than Darts (Ole Miss) back to back INT's (one was ruled incomplete / dropped by UF).

True, but, I don't think ESPN ever passes up a chance to put Herbie on the OSU announcing team.

I remember watching the OSU game on TV, in particular a nifty 4th down play that kept a winning drive alive. We were done unless OSU won. I remember nothing about Texas. Which is strange, since it was only about 35 years ago.

Yeah. 35 years ago is about the most recent time I can remember any damn thing.

If tOsU goes to the NCG Herbie and Fowler will have announced each of the Bucknuts playoff games. Even though he can sometimes be over the top, Herbie normally doesn't bother me.....Except when he calls the Bucknut games. He's too deeply invested to be truly objective. And Fowler, who is normally very professional, turns into an emotional Joe Tessitore when the Nuts score or make a big play to accommodate him. Just saying.

Having said that, I do like Herbie on the NFL Amazon coverage with Al Michaels. TBF

First half, looked like ND's DL would be moved into place the entire game and their OL would not be able to deal with Penn's front 7. Then ND came out for the second half and looked their equals. What gave or adjustments were made?

Texas got us in, OSU saved us from a split title by defeating ASU in the Rose Bowl.

Yes, kids that are willing to be dedicated and do WHATEVER it takes to win and not be a primadonna distraction. Btw, that's pretty much the worst accusation a football player has had while AT Clemson. I'd take that over our sorted history with the law.
