It's the eyes, ears and brain who observes the field and makes the right call at the right time in real time, and only SOS could do that. thats where i think scheme and play calling diverge. Spurrier could call napiers offense and be bery succesful is how i see it.

 

True, although Spurrier's USCe teams were overwhelmingly defense dominant. He made his offense efficient rather than sxplosive.

 

Obviously he’s not Spurrier. But not trying to get a close look at a genius’s work is the work of a fool. Not implementing passing concepts your present QB excelled at is malpractice.

 

Rex's bad games were due to Rex's, not Zaunbrecher. Leak had a better year as a true freshman in 2003 than Rex's had in 2002. No matter how flashy he was, those 4-INT games won't go away or be palmed off on Zaunbrecher.
