This is still a good to great team, but we all knew that not having a true point guard might be one of our weaknesses this year.
I love Clayton. He is one of the best basketball players ever to wear the orange and blue, but he is not a point guard.
Feared that when WC took over as PG. I was hoping he got better at PG duties in big game. Smaller game he is fine but big games he seems to melt down at times and I don't know why that is. This year in OOC he was much better but today...ooooof!
. Not sure about that, seems Clayton is sleepwalking, had two careless TO that led to 5 pts for KY. We need better guard play, and better defending the 3.
Unfortunately it’s looking rhat way. This is what happens when you play a good team, on the road. How we respond in the 2nd half will tell us a lot about this team. UK went on a 37-16 run to close the half
We may find out how badly we miss a really reliable point guard during SEC play. Got away with it in the non- conference, but unless Clayton steps up and protects the ball, we are going to have trouble with turnovers. Bring in Denzel to handle the ball? Then who do you take out?
He is a scoring guard..not a PG. We got to live with it this year because WC can score the basketball. It is what it is sadly.
They've used the spinner things for many years in many arenas. Quit whining that's not why we're losing
This group has done this before, gets big lead and takes foot off the gas. No killer instinct to bury your opponent. We saw it in the NC game when we were up by 20. We had an 11 point lead this half, and now KY leads by 10. That can’t happen.
He is not a great ball handler. As soon as a team decides to pressure the ball against us, we are toast. We overcome this a good bit by making our offense more of a transition style even when 5 on 5 so they can’t set their defense properly.
