I did not find Shadeur impressive, Cam Ward struck lightening in a bottle. He stands way too flat footed and think NFL DL's will eat him up
Kiper is a clueless, greasy, Vegas bookie. Guy has never been right on anything. Perfect reverse barometer. Reminds me of all the political experts who thought KamKam was a slam dunk to beat Trump.
He is a really weird player. He can look awful for most of a game, missing receivers and taking bad sacks. Then on 4th and 26, with 20 seconds left, he will pull a rabbit out of his a$$ to win the game. It's unbelievable how often he has done this.
Apparently, the Colts players are really starting to despise AR and his lack of professionalism and dedication.
I didn't know that. He's got insane potential - and I understand the appeal of trying to be the one who can harness it - but the dude just doesn't see the field and only has a 110MPH fastball.
Beck had Tommy John surgery has a success ratio of 80-95%, which while good means there is a chance he will not return as good as he was
And he wasn’t great at 100%. He doesn’t read coverages very well. Is it fixable? Perhaps. Perhaps not.
Beck's issues were always there, they were just masked by All-America talent around him (on the OL and at WR/TE). He got exposed this year when UGa had to replace a lot of that production with new guys. He most likely was pressing some to make plays that 2023's players made look routine, which caused some of his problems. Reminds me a little like what happened to Shane in 1992 when the Gators had to reload a lot of our offense.
There’s been a bunch of chatter on Twitter. Here’s a quick article (or gossip piece, depending in yiyr definition) I found on the topic: Anthony Richardson saga has raised doubt in Colts' locker room
I think he might actually benefit more from going ahead and leaving. I think if he puts another season on tape and doesn't develop, then NFL scouts are going to have enough information to feel like he may just not develop. If he leaves now and blows everyone away at the combine, he might get a team to fall in love with him or bring him on as a project. I also have to assume Deboer had a sit down with him and made it clear they're going after someone in the portal and looking to open up the competition. It clearly was not working this year and it may not be anyone's fault. It's not like Deboer had any of these problems with Penix. The system and the skillset just don't seem to gel.
Who is projecting him to go in the 1st round, Stevie Wonder? This guy had every advantage available in college football (coach, best talent, top program, etc...) and still looked terrible most of the time. I know that NFL teams are desparate, but he needs another year like Jalen Hurts. It is not like he will be hurting for money. If he goes to a bad NFL team it will all be over.
He'll be playing either H-Back Tight End or receiver for some NFL team. No way he plays QB in the NFL.
We've got a Bears fan on board. @Skink is a Lions fan and I live in MN / root for the Vikings. Lions, Vikings, and Bears . . . oh my!
