28 years ago tonight....

I remember it like it was yesterday. Good times...

 

Such a fun game. I remember shedding a few tears when the band played ‘Son of a Preacher Man’ to honor Danny at halftime.

 

The stop and score is a great memory of mine!

 

Was thinking about this during the ASU-UT game when they showed a Jake Plummer highlight from their game vs OSU

 

My favorite game of mine. Beating our in-state rival into the Superdome turf was incredible.

 

The greatest night in the history of Florida football, imho, and always will be.

 

Half a hundred

 

Probably the greatest night in the history of the program!

 

Brings tear to my eye. I ran around my neighborhood with Gator flag (in my Gator boxers). Keep in mind, it’s a January night in Wyoming…my Go Gators raised a few octaves in the cold

 

My wife and I were there. Still glorious. And on the way home that morning, we stopped at a casino in Biloxi and I played $20 on a dollar slot machine and walked out with $60 after 10 minutes.

 

Damn I need to change mine now.

 

My 18yo sent me an IG reel on this today. I sent him a picture of me at that game.

Fingers crossed he will be at UF this summer or fall. He’s already said he wants to enroll SummerB if he gets in.

 

Should we thank Lame Kitten for the 52-20 score against the Dookies on the 28th anniversary of our first Natty?

 

Nothing was better than seeing Bourbon street end to end that night celebrating our first title, with the noles staying in their rooms mostly.

 

Such an incredible memory. Watched the game in Interlachen with my dad who celebrated by jumping in the lake. Then got to drive back into Gville to see the streets blocked with the ad hoc celebrations. Go Gators!

 

And the Rebels honored us tonight by winning with the exact same score.
They have no idea how they've helped our team this year.

The least likely score of them all is the one that sticks in my mind, Danny's 16 yard scramble at the end of the 3rd quarter.
