I wonder if he's beginning to feel it slipping away. UGA has clearly taken a significant step backward this year, and to some extent it's an indictment of the out of control, anything goes "culture" that Kirby has allowed to take over his program. I also wonder how the NFL will view Kirby's fairly average coaching skills and his inability to manage the serial misconduct that has occurred on his watch with such alarming frequency. Time will tell, but IMO, his days at UGA are likely numbered.

 

To be fair he did get an SEC title.

Agree with your last point. ND averaged over 4 yards/carry for over 150 yards. Beck is not good even though “seasoned” but not sure why anybody cares that uga “could have won?” We could have won w/ lagway. Imma celebrate with no need to give uga any slack.

 

It’s always good to see them lose! While I agree with Bazza, with Beck the puppies probably win. This feels like a bit of karma for uga, they have been on the other side of this situation and talked crap about the other teams, and now it’s their turn! If we had DJ for the rest of Cocktail Party, we likely win. Losing a starter, especially your QB changes things.

 

I agree that it is interesting that Bammers and Humpers came right back to the pack when everyone could pay players. I don’t know if that makes me angry that they were cheating or angrier that we weren’t smart enough to figure out how to cheat as well as them.

There is no question that the NIL has leveled the playing field. Teams now can poach good players so that depth becomes an issue. Yet, schools with huge pockets or alumni from teams like bama, uga, osu, who hate to see their team no longer competing for championships will seek to outbid everyone. NIL is a blessing and a curse.

 

Could have played with DJ now he has to break in a new QB. Buh-bye!

 

Bama and UGA don’t have the pockets that even we do. Id compare our collective alumni net worths over those two schools any day.

I wouldn’t take any qb or rb on that field over DJ and Baugh next year. Excited to say that!

 

He is definitely a better athlete IMO, but I didn't see the poise or the ability to seize control of a game that might cause me to lose any sleep. Of course, he could grow by leaps and bounds before we meet in Jax. But I honestly think he's got a mountain to climb if he's going to confront a more experienced, more physically gifted DJ Lagway on anything like equal footing at the cocktail party. After what I saw tonight, my attitude toward that game is now undergoing reconsideration.

 

So all four teams with byes lost. Interesting dynamic.

 

Or fumble it for a touchdown that's pretty cool too
