I indicated from the get-go I wasn't big on tariffs. I also pointed out that the US has had periods of very good econom8c growth when we had tariffs without an income tax.

Do you think America should rely on China to manufacture products that are economy must have?

I've also said I think Trump is inheriting a "crap economy" and you guys will blame anything Trump does for inflation and stagnation

 

We’ve pretty much always had tariffs, it’s not been limited to a few presidents. the question is always how much and on what.

 

We've always had some tariffs of some sort. And again, they have their place. But big, across the board? Always leads to economic problems.

I also have no problem relying on China for manufacturing. They rely on us for consumption. It's a symbiotic relationship. It's either win-win or lose-lose.

Last, what part of 3.4% growth, unemployment hovering around 4%, and inflation at 2.7% screams "crap economy?"

 

So we agree that big across the board tariffs are bad
