As I posted in the "Trump's Troubles" thread, Trump very recently lost his appeal in the first E. Jean Carroll case, the one with the $5 million verdict. Representative Mace, apparently a graduate of the Trump University College of Law & Taxidermy, thought that the appellate court's affirmation of the judgement was a good thing for Trump. She either didn't know who won at the trial court level or didn't understand the difference between "affirmed" and "reversed." To make matters worse, the dumb ass started a Twitter victory party over the opinion. To make matters even worse than that, MAGA started jumping in on Twitter celebrating the "victory" with Nancy. You simply can't make this stuff up.
Haven't watched that and not saying it contributed to any confusion, but I did a double-take yesterday when I saw how Fox News phrased its main headline about the appeal. While Fox "News" could have worded it better, I'm not seeing how that would confuse her unless she was not familiar with the history of the case.
