GAME THREAD: Iowa vs Missouri Music City Bowl ESPN

It is surprising they’ve hung onto Ferentz for so long

 

I support the SEC when doing so helps us. We need a decent showing in the SEC which hopefully increases the chances of getting additional teams selected into the playoffs in the next few years. I don't like Stinkwitz but, with them winning it gives the SEC a 5-3 record at this point in time. This allows the mutts to lose and the SEC still maintains a winning record. Best case scenario from my perspective is Gators win (check), SEC has a winning record(so far check), our rivals toothless get an embarrassing loss (check), butt sniffers get whipped (hopefully check). I wouldn't mind if Texas wins it all because it shows our conference is powerful throughout with multiple NC's

 

Methinks Brady Cook made himself a bunch of money in the draft. He plainly did not have a running game and his regular receivers. Damn good showing.

 

I HATE sinkywitz… and Mizzu has climbed the ranks of teams I pull against. But I will give Cook. Result. That kid is a baller. Down to his 5/6wide receiver, they even had a 3 rd string rb playing slot for some of the game and Cook just kept throwing darts.
And in every interview he gives almost all the praise to his teammates. Praises his line, his backs, his defense.. etc…
Now compare that to some other QBs who are all about themselves and their own personal glory.

 

They don't have the strong desire to win it all. Or honestly to even compete for it all. They are happy with winning seasons and a nice bowl.

Exactly. They know they aren't osu or Michigan or a national contender and are content winning 8-10 games a year.

 

Kind of looks that way - but I don’t see that as a reason to hate Iowa. Oh well
