Miami needs to pull 5 million out of Mas' pockets to buy Mensah or Ewers ASAP. Emory Williams won't win them 3 games next year without a huge defensive turnaround.

 

If we’re trending up with a returning star QB and Miami’s trending downward after losing their star QB, then it’s safe to say we should handle them easily in September 2025.

 

True - but as a Gator fan, the look of sour grapes isn't something I want.

Pop Tarts bowl does have a cool trophy

 

Not really. He literally only played to get the record and then sat after. Sitting and not trying to get the record would have been more admirable because the back up would have practiced the whole time and been ready to start to get them a win. He was not prepared at all, looked awful.

 

Exactly, the ACC is 1-8 in bowl game so far. Pathetic.

 

no GM’s in need of a QB and in a position to draft him will give it a second thought.

nothing he could do in the second half would have increased his draft stock one bit. Where’s the hate for the receivers who opted out? Likely planned that with Mario ahead of time. Better for Miami in the long run to get an extended look at Williams.

 

Id take it into consideration if any player sat and watched. It means something.

 

Imagine fans getting upset or ecstatic based on how their team does when the star player quits and watches his team lose. Not gonna go full blown doom and gloom but college football as a passion is not impervious to failure over time. Some things need to change because that was yet another sad precedent.

The bad NFL teams right now already know which player they’re taking in April. The Giants are taking Shedeur Sanders and the next team that needs a QB will be taking Ward. This game did absolutely nothing for his stock and quite frankly I’m surprised he even suited up at all.

Why? It's d-league NFL now. Once he's earned his money there's nothing to prove since he's not a student of the school in any sense of the word. They're independent contractors with extra steps and free licensing from their sponsor schools.

Somebody refresh my memory. I have never seen a player that important or not playing the first half and sitting out the second half.
