I stayed up and watched this game. It really disappoints me that our conference is looking like the Big’s whipping boy. A 6-6 Big team beating an 8-4 SEC team after Tennessee gets its doors blown off by Ohio State. A&M has delighted in stealing our players since our defensive line coach was hired there and we owe them a serious Azz-Kickin, but they were our conference rep in this game. A&M was pathetic last night in the second half. Announcers kept bragging on superior “physicality” of Big Ten. I had to mute the sound for last few minutes. And we don’t have much ammunition to argue that after this and Tennessee meltdown.
Disappointing to some degree, but nothing is set in stone when it comes to non-playoff games in the bowls. Tennessee was a HUGE brain fart. About the only thing that happened was Riley is now less on a hot seat.
Pisses me off that we played them when we sucked, and they were half good. If we played them at the end of the year, I think we easily beat that team.
Totally. The “SEC SEC” love is dumb. I’d rather a team like USC, which is less of a recruiting rival, beat a team like A&M, which is a conference/recruiting rival. I’m to the point where I root against the SEC. They raid Florida for talent, and their success does nothing but aggravate that dilemma for us. The success of other SEC teams does nothing equate to our own success, which is all I care about. Screw ‘em.
The sec qb's overall arent as good as they usually are. Even in the playoffs, tthe qb pool isnt that impressive but the "better" qb's are winning. Bama fans all think their qb is garbage as well as i do. They have a runner that is average at best passing. That doesnt work against good teams consistently.
I’ve been with you on this topic for many years. Maybe even decades now. The stupid inbreds have tried to f us at every turn for many decades. If not for that, and the rampant cheating by certain schools when we weren’t, we’d have more championships than the gumps.
