I agree he will still be a key, but Graham and Chiles as sophomores will not be getting 157 and 113 snaps respectively. I am not saying this in a manner of knocking James, but Graham specifically showed that he should be on the field more often which means he has to take someone snaps away.

I hope he doesn’t leave, but I understand completely if he does.

Wish him the best, but i think another year here or at a transfer location would have been best for him. I hope he works his butt off like Venrell Miller to make it work for him.

People keep saying he was gonna lose snaps and he maxed out here but I wonder how much he would have benefited from another year in a prospectively much better defense next year. Maybe playing along side players thar are handling their assignments allows him to develope. Just spitballing

I'm not sure if he would benefit more from more competition and fighting for snaps at UF or going to a new environment where expectations are high as well. I would hate to see him be a Vosean Joseph when I think he has the raw talent to be a regular nfl lb.

I don't understand why anyone thinks Shemar would have enhanced his draft status by transferring. He was getting plenty of playing time at UF to showcase his talents. I never thought for a minute that he would transfer.

There is a thread titled Shemar James in Swamp Gas. Why keep posting about him in the Sapp thread.

I'm not throwing shade on him, as far as not being a Gator by thinking of transferring, but the usual reasons for thinking of a transfer to be marketable in the NFL is more snaps, different scheme, getting to play more positions or techniques, and see different styles of coaching. He lost snaps through the year and was going to see a lot more of that as Robinson was becoming the highest snap rate player at ILB, and Graham and Chiles have to play more as they are immense talents. Howard has to play too, as he is outstanding.
