She willfully placed herself in that position, forcing the LEO to act. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
It's not different. Forcible entry into a secured place doesn't earn anyone the benefit of doubt. If it were your business during close or your house or the capitol building, intruders especially those through forcible entry denying orders to stop are going to get dealt with. No way you argue otherwise if it were any other circumstance other than to defend your party.
Disagree all you want, Bill. It doesn't make you any less incorrect about the law. There's zero evidence he did.
You describe her as a "girl" who was "unarmed." I expect we will get additional details in the wrongful death lawsuit, but based upon the reporting I recall, Ashli Babbit was a 35 year old adult and military veteran who had a Para Force knife on her person.
Is that all you think Trump did, "contested" the election......even after it was conclusively proven the election was fair? The man still moans about it, and the MAGA Cult still joins the discordant chorus! I know you're intelligent, so why do you keep harping on it? It's like saying 1+1=3.
Only a profound lack of perspective would cause an individual to draw an equivalence between someone breaking into a personal residence and the actions of Ashli Babbitt.
I guess there is a difference considering that the former could pose a threat to residents of the home while the latter was at the head of a deranged mob threatening members of Congress.
Only someone with a profound lack of understanding of the law would fail to understand the similarity of the analysis involved in the two situations.
It's weird that people are actually even arguing with this poster. We know the drill perfectly well by now; - crimes by Trump are totally OK - crimes encouraged by Trump are totally OK - crimes done to support Trump in any way whatsoever are OK. Any and all crimes, potential or real, that are distasteful to Trump, or Trump supporters, are wholly unacceptable and deserving of the full brunt of the legal system. And the double standard is so clear and blatant that the Trump supporters openly laugh about it - I get "funny" ratings on posts detailing Trump's sex crimes. 'Funny' ratings on posts detailing the crimes of his grifter associates that he's pardoned. Is there really a point debating people who don't adhere to standards of truth or ethics? There really just needs to be a polite or acceptable way to say here; "Be quiet, you're a hypocrite."
And the hypocrites will say “well it’s wrong but it’s not as bad as what Trump did” although they don’t say the first part out loud
Except they're most likely not hypocrites. Because they're right. Of course, you're speaking in generalities, so it's difficult to specifically discuss. However, you did vote for an admitted and adjudicated sexual assaulter. Who is a felon. Who incited a violent attack on our Capitol. Did anyone else do the same? Nope. So it's not really the same thing.* * I'm (sort of) sorry for you that you (and all other Trumpies) threw your moral standing right into the toilet and flushed three times.....but that was your choice. There's not really any equivalence with anyone else. Sorry.
