The solution is to allow more immigrant workers across the spectrum and make it easier for workers to come here legally ... Elon wants immigrant tech workers because he runs a tech company. Farmers want immigrant fruit pickers because they run farms. Restaurant owners want immigrant dishwashers because they run restaurants. Whatever justifications Elon can use to hire immigrants over Americans can be used by any industry, especially if "we just need people who will do the job" is all he's got. This isn't hard to figure out, try harder.

Now Elon is telling (white) Americans they're too dumb to work at SpaceX and Tesla. MAGA white dudes haven't been told they're dumb by one of their idols before. And Elon is lying about why he's hiring Asians on slave visas; instead of telling the truth ("they'll work for less, take more of my shit and worship me in the halls of my businesses"), he basically said "I prefer immigrants because (white) Americans are stupid." No sir, MAGA folks don't like that one bit. They will definitely turn on him.

I wouldn't completely count JD out of the picture. Trump is so unhinged that it wouldn't surprise me if Vance led a revolt by other former Trump loyalists and tried to invoke the 25th Amendment. Although it's somewhat of a cliché there is no honor among thieves. It's also not beyond the realm of possibility that Trump could get tired of playing president and end up resigning in exchange for a Nixon style blanket pardon.

Musk has decided to do away with recycling because it is "pointless". None of the neighborhoods he has ever lived in as a billionaire has had a landfill next to it, so there is no downside to him for getting rid of recycling. The scale of recycling is vast; therefore, we should ignore it and hope it goes away. Maybe Musk feels that trashing planet earth is the best way to get governments to fund a mission to populate other planets. Moron. (Note: even if some plastics cannot be recycled, it does not mean they cannot be re-used. Many plastics can be put into concrete or asphalt.) Is recycling worth it? Maybe Musk thinks there is some benefit to getting plastic into our brains.
